Polls don't "pick" winners. They estimate which candidate has a better chance of winning. The polls never said that Trump couldn't win, only that it was less likely than Clinton winning. This is what Trumpers, being dim, don't understand. If you say that one thing has a 70% chance of occurring while the opposite thing has a 30% chance of occurring, then the less likely thing happens, it doesn't mean that you were "wrong."

The polls appear to have been VERY accurate regarding the only thing they ever purported to measure, which was each candidate's chances of winning. That the underdog won doesn't invalidate those assessments. It's like a sportsbook making one team a 7-point favorite and the other team wins outright. Was the line "wrong" or "inaccurate"? Of course not. Again, though, Trumpers aren't capable of understanding this. I'll exclude Pence from that statement, as he said after the election that he and Trump had been huge underdogs and that their win was highly improbable.

As for the Gallup poll, the one that I referred to in the past, Trump hit the "majority disapprove" faster than any other president since they have been tracking that poll. 42% approve, 51% disapprove.
He did it in 8 days. The 2nd fastest to get to majority disapproval was Bill Clinton, in 573 days.

He will never shoot way over 60. That's a rightie fever dream.

The Rasmussen poll is an outlier (as it usually is). There's a reason Republicans always have to cite Rasmussen polls and pretend literally every other poll is "fake news." Maybe he will get over 60 someday in the Rasmussen poll - but in the RCP average of all the polls, never.

Donald is never going to be "beloved" as EB dreams he is.
