In 10 hours of observations, the new Rubin Observatory, operating in a test phase, detected 2,104 new asteroids including several 'near earth' types

AN AI-powered robot was able to separate the gall bladder from the liver of a dead pig in what is said to be the first realistic surgery by a machine with almost no human intervention.
The robot is powered by a two-tier AI system trained on 17 hours of video that encompassed 16,000 motions made in operations by human surgeons. When put to work, the first layer of the AI system watches video from an endoscope monitoring the surgery and issues plain-language instructions, such as “clip the second duct”, while the second AI layer turns each instruction into three-dimensional tool motions.
In all, the gall bladder surgery required 17 separate tasks. The robotic system performed the operation eight times, achieving 100 per cent success in all of the tasks (Science Robotics, doi.org/g9spv2).

Another scientist has claimed an object difficult to identify *could* be 'not natural' but manufactured, not on Earth it seems, see link below

Oumuamua was the first time I noticed a scientist willing to 'go there'. In that case the 'slingshot' effect when it passed close to the Sun exceeded explanation

What is Oumuamua and why is NASA terrified of it?
Oumuamua - NASA Science
It means "a messenger from afar arriving first" in Hawaiian. 'Oumuamua is up to one-quarter mile (400 meters) long and highly-elongated – perhaps 10 times as long as it is wide. That aspect ratio is greater than that of any asteroid or comet observed in our solar system to date. Dec 5, 2024

If NASA is terrified of Oumuama, it's hiding it real well...

I've read some strange stories about the object, including there is some classified info associated with it.

It means a person can go to prison if releasing specific info about it.

Its Moon's north node is close to Regulus.

And the messenger planet Mercury is being goosed by Jupiter in Scorpio when it was discovered on 10-19-2017 by Canadian Weryk.

I don't have the time of discovery.

Mine is in Capricorn but was in Aries when discovered.

Here are some other reports of the discoverer:

How can there be classified info on an object anyone with a half decent telescope can observe?

I hate to speculate how many strange rabbit holes you would go down if you try to follow DG's usual info stream.

Some of the info could be classified in the case we landed on it with a probe, etc.

I've already made that mistake once. I'll never make it again.
