I don't think it is a flaw. I think it is more Trump will be loyal to those who are his friends. If you are his enemy, watch out! McCain chose to be a Trump enemy. A lot of jealousy as McCain could not motivate people like Trump could. A sore loser who despised the guy who did what he could not come close to doing. He treated Bush the same way if you remember. Trumps problem is that he cant deal with criticism. Trump simply does not have the intelligence to understand the loyal opposition. McCain is the loyal opposition. Trump views McCain as the enemy and thats sad. The job of president is the most criticized position on the planet yet Trump cant comprehend that and instead complains about google news search results. Your problem is, you don't realize there is a public and a private Trump. Everybody who knows him well says in private, he's a calm and reserved person. He has a very different public persona. In 2008 he was the Steve Lombardi of POTUS political campaigns. Other than picking Palin as VP, he did zero to energize anything and made a fool of himself during the debates. McCain was a worse candidate than Walter MonDull was, how is that possible. I don't get all the attention he's receiving, I always thought he was an attention whore schlub..
