Here's the (now deleted) text of the tweet: “Greeting staff at @TeamTrump HQ this morning, a reminder that the media doesn’t select the President,”

Along with that tweet, was a photo from the Washington Times, with a huge "PRESIDENT GORE" headline.

The newspaper claims that the photo is doctored, and they never printed that headline.

I don't see how they can complain about the integrity of the media and "fake news" when they are doing stuff like this.

If they just saw it and re-tweeted it, shame on them for not fact-checking, especially since they believe in so much "fake news". It also supports something I've been saying for a long time - people are going to choose to believe what they want to believe - not verify something they agree with, and call everything else "fake" without evidence.
