Any POTUS not a liberal has to deal with an antagonistic press, we have learned this since the early 1990s. The Bushes tried "the truth will set you free." It didn't work at all. What Trump did was made the media cover their own lie. It kind of worked, though I doubt anyone cares about attendance much. Setting the tone, however, was the big thing. He ain't lying down.

I don't think it worked AT ALL. Now you've got a member of the administration out there claiming Spicer used "alternative facts"...what the hell is that? She didn't say he used "different" facts--like stuff from other sources--she said "alternative." That is an idiotic comment. There is no other way to spin it.

The press is not covering their own lie at all.

If that is the intent, it failed miserably this time. I am not a brilliant person (quiet, AMS288) but I am also not stupid. My idea of presenting the truth forcefully (just like the "alternative facts" were presented) would work better than what was done.

They are not embarrassed by lying out of their asses and making a fool of themselves. All we can do is mock them, it's a waste to try to engage.

"Trump won in a landslide."

Anyone with two eyes and a fully functioning brain knows these are blatant falsehoods. Not up for debate. I don't think they even truly believe what they are saying. It's almost like a form of trolling. They hope that if they keep saying it, we'll just let it go and accept that people believe it.

Republicans seem to be split into 2 groups
Those that admit to a smaller number at the inauguration then the past and just shrug
Conservatives that can deal with reality and I give them a tip of the hat
Then there are those that embrace "alternate facts"
Me and the rest of the world are just laughing at these fools.
Whatever Trump or the new WH says is their reality
Just too too funny

Nope... never said Putin "affected" the election as much as you keep pretending I did.

I do agree with the intelligence community that he tried to influence it.

Putin and Donald certainly seem to have tiny boners for each other.

In regards to the US having to endure 4 years of Prez Golden Showers, I place far more blame on the "Bernie or Busters" than I do on Putin's attempted influence.

He's got a big day ahead of him but none of that matters
