You don't get triggered by a candidate you're not scared of, so it's the same thing. You're triggered by Trump because you're terrified by him. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Only if Nader took EC votes from both sides. It is unlikely any Nader voters would otherwise have voted for Bush. Well, maybe one guy in Xxzyx, CA. But no others. We are not going to see it thrown to the House in 2020. We might see the liberal vote fracture between socialist and Schultz, though. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

He'll never run, it would ruin Starbucks. He has no intention of running, he's on a book tour and wants the media to notice him so he can sell books. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Probably not, but it does open up the dramatic possibilities. The writers of Veep used a contingent election with a twist to end a season finale. ![]() A contingent election almost invariably opens the door to dramatic backstabbing politics and payola in the form of high powered positions. The 1824 election and the accusations of the "corrupt bargain" changed American politics dramatically. Only 365,928 votes were recorded in 1824, which tripled to 1,148,018 total votes in 1828. That was 57.6% of the Voting Age Population of white men. The 1830 census was 12,866,020, of which 2,009,043 were slaves. |

I made it thru 2.5 eps of Veep before I turned it off in disgust. Totally unlikable characters and a way overuse of the F word. Unlikable characters who all hate each other and swear non stop. Oh boy.. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Scottish writer Armando Iannucci adapted his British sitcom "The Thick of It" which pioneered that style of inventive ways to use the f-word. |
