Beta was in the race?

He literally looked like an out
of work circus clown. Waving
his arms all the time, why
would anybody in their right
mind vote for him.

So far, eight candidates met both the polling and donor requirements for the 20 November debates, according to CBS News, who identified them as:

Former Vice President Joe Biden
Senator Bernie Sanders
Senator Elizabeth Warren
Senator Kamala Harris

Only those 3 have any chance. Bernie
will be 80 in 2021, Biden 78, and
Warren will be 72. She has so much
baggage, and wants to give away
so much free stuff, I hope she
wins the nomination. Landslide
for Trump.

It's biblical, for every ten dollars they steal they're supposed to give one back.

I saw a shrink say millennials are
pro socialism because they feel
ripped off by the system. They
don't get the jobs they were
promised out of college and
they owe a ton of debt. So they
have resentment and want a
change. This usually goes away
when they start making real
money.

Hemingway was sympathetic
to socialism in the 30's when
he covered the Spanish civil war.
He was on the side of the peasants
wanting socialism because all
the land was owned by the rich.

He eventually soured on it when
he saw that as soon as his comrades
in arms got a little land and a few
farm animals, they immediately
became greedy and non sharing
and totally capitalistic. That's human
nature, to protect what you own
for your family, and not share it.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

If you think Warren has a lot of baggage, Trump must own the Samsonite company. Could you stick to even halfway believable claims?

But Trump is the incumbent with a
rabidly loyal huge base. That's
impossible to overcome for
a decent candidate, which Warren
is not.

It is a few things like this. One thing I see is that the kids who grew up after the 90's had it so much better and they think they are entitled to start out that way. If you grew up 40s to 60s you probably grew up in an urban area. If you grew up 60s to 80s it was probably a modest suburb. You did not live in a McMansion with all kinds of stuff. The late 80s and beyond were when the second generation was in the suburbs and the "small suburban life" gave way to far more luxury. Many of these little socialists didn't even work much in high school because their parents wanted them to "have experiences."

Which is all fine if the parents can afford it. But what the kiddies do not see is the parents worked their way up and acquired their "stuff" over the years, some of it inherited. To live in a small place without it they cannot handle. One of the few good things about the draft was when you got inducted, everyone was torn down to nothing. You saw what minimal living was and you learned to deal with it.

Another thing I find about socialism is it is women and weaker males who most embrace it. Sort of they think they need to attach themselves to the government to make it in life. The way to get women off of wanting it is to make them feel and pay the taxes for it. They go nuts when they see taxes taken out of their pay. The weaker men, they are hopeless. They will spend a lifetime wanting someone else's stuff.
War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength

This is so great I am grinning
ear to ear. A woman takes Beto
to task over what a failure Dems
have been in running cities. This
woman has balls 10 times better
than Beeto's. He dropped out
of the race 2 days later.

I don't know the people who have Warren killing Trump in the polls. I know a whole bunch of Trump haters who can't say a single good thing about him, but say they would reluctantly vote for him over Warren. My former Republican buddy, now a registered Democrat, says (I assume jokingly) he would move to Canada if Trump and Warren are his two real choices.
I could be wrong, but I think the Dems will somehow derail Warren's attempt at the nomination. Every Democrat votes for Biden over Trump, and I think he gets more of the 'middle, undecided' votes as well.
