The 500 people who work in the corporate office, whoever they are. And it might be more than 300 restaurants I don't remember.

Then why not just link to a story about it instead of posting your incorrect summary?

500 execs for a 300 unit chain? Something is off there. Probably 500 HQ personnel,

Suddenly made me wonder what McDonald's headquarters looked like. They moved into a new one in 2018. Interesting. pictures and article at link.

You have your priorities wrong. So the more locked down country also ahead of us in vaccination rate is doing far better.

Deaths by 100k of population
U.S. 217.54
Israel 87.70

https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/mortality

Death rate is better in Israel but not the rate of infections. I would put most of that to the superior medical system they have to support those that do catch Covid. The superior vaccination rate also likely reduces the severity of those that catch it. My point was that even with all their lockdowns and other mandates they couldn't keep Covid from spreading.

Yes, they have single-payer which is far superior to America's mess.

The purpose of a lockdown is to modulate the spreading not prevent it. And you're modulating to get people vaccinated or to keep your healthcare system from being overwhelmed if lots of people are still susceptible.

Single Payer is okay in countries that have small populations. More people live in Michigan than live in Israel. Comparing Israel to United States is patently ridiculous. United States population is 35 times larger.

The US open system then modulated the spread better than the Israel lockdown going by infection rate.

So if the population's can't be compared, how are their COVID rates relevant?

Seriously? You don't see the apples and oranges here?

No, I actually don't, I am just pointing out how some (you included) do.

I am fine comparing Israel COVID stats with U.S.'s and I am also fine with comparing overall health access (and life expectancy, and ER wait times, etc...).

Israel just does healthcare better. And, we should learn from it.
