Masks were in place under Trump, EB, and he did move forward toward getting a vaccine, albeit reluctantly.

You do know that he was once a democrat?

He's mining the conservative republican evangelical platform not because he believes it, but because it is politcally expedient to do so; you know, "divide and conquer."

Please don't confuse me for a Biden supporter: I voted Libertarian.

I simply think he's a better, saner, more grounded in reality person than wannabe emperor Trump.

Suffice it to say that I dislike him less than I do Trump.

It is exactly the point! The "to make a slave content make him think he is free" is very well known. Of course it is not limited to individual slaves but to entire populations. Like in Cuba where they thought Castro was doing so well for them but they lived in poverty. They were slaves to the state but they thought they were in some kind of paradise because Castro showed how he booted the Americans out. Right out of "Animal Farm" it was.

With the china virus it was masks and lockdowns. No sane person would want to live in a society where you have to wear masks everywhere in public and are not allowed to freely meet with people. But all that was needed was to scare a percent of the population, in this case literally to death. Or fear of death. What have we gotten? Idiots wearing masks even in their cars or houses alone. Saying how great the masks are, how they are saving their lives. Same people calling the cops because some group of people is meeting in a place but not wearing masks.

If those kind of people were on a plantation they would tell the master if one of their fellow slaves was planning to run. Then they would defend the master for whipping said slave saying, "well, we know not to run!"

Anyone wants to understand how fascists and communists took the countries they took, just look at the people defending masks. All they needed to do was scare the same part of the population and that part would defend the fascist or communist plans as "we need to do it, for the common good!"

Meanwhile the maskers think they are free.

President Biden's handling of the coronavirus issue has been horrible. Going on TV and spewing about how horrid unvaccinated people are and trying to mandate vaccines for all is not the answer. To be clear, I am pro-vaccine and I have had the shots and will get the booster. I talk up the vaccines in conversations with vaccine hesitant people. This is true of many conservatives.

President Biden should be publicly attacking this in a much different way and leading people to the vaccine, not trying to divide the country with his words. Hell, he and his VP were vaccine hesitant not so long ago. Maybe tell people how he went from that to getting the vaccine. He can say he didn't like the former President but that the science led him to the vaccine. Giving the former President a little credit would even go a long way.

The attack on the virus needs to be handled with vaccinations, testing, preventatives, medications, and, most of all, leadership and teaching. Yelling at people and creepy whispering don't do the trick.

One example...testing...we don't test enough and we need to push people to test in the privacy of their home because even the vaccinated can carry and spread the virus. If I get a good case of the sniffles, I should test myself here in my house (which I will do, I have several tests here but they did cost a bit; I was using them for a cruise). If I am positive, I should stay away from people. If we had more of that--cheap and without leaving the house--we could prevent some of the spread.

I think the President should put together a series of well-orchestrated press conference presenting a variety of ways we can slow down Covid and including the problems with vaccines. Teach instead of tell. Lead instead of coerce. Answer some questions.
