You should be smart enough to see the truly smart choice. Vaxxed and not afraid and living life. Tee time 7:57 tomorrow.

Enjoy. I am terrible at golf and no longer subject others to being in a foursome with me.

To the other point, why are the vaxed people the ones still the most afraid?

Why is the rate of hospitalization in South Africa plunging?
Isn't South Africa the epicenter of Omicron?
Average UK Hospitalization rate is down slightly 7% in the last 30 days.
Omicron showed up in the UK almost a month ago.
Now the House Plant is out there telling us we are in for a "winter of severe illness & death"
You can't really fault our pathetic "leader", he thought Manchin was going to get on board with Build Back Socialism.

Kind of misleading jcw.

That quote was just for the unvaxxed. The rest of us will be fine (assuming we don’t have any different kind of health issues that go untreated cause the sheep are stressing the health system to its limits).

Pick a time period. Any time period.
South Africa: I see similar reports from 3 days ago. They are hopeful but not very representative of Western nations, E.g
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-12-17/s-africa-says-hospitalizations-in-omicron-wave-much-lower

Quote:
Scientists have cautioned that other nations may have a different experience to South Africa as the country’s population is young compared with developed nations. Between 70% and 80% of citizens may also have had a prior Covid-19 infection, according to antibody surveys, meaning they could have some level of protection.

Quote:
More than 90% of hospital deaths were among the unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, News24 reported, citing Waasila Jassat, a researcher with the NICD.

UK. Still early days.
https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/

Up 6% on the last 7 days It was on a down trend one month ago from a November peak. Now back on an uptrend, just as we might expect with cases rising.

I see your government are trying to switch the public focus from infection stats to death stats, so as to get the most positive spin. That will go to s41t if deaths do rise.

Hilarious to watch the Dems switch their pitch.
Mr. Potato Head, Brian Stelter, now wants kids back in school as we a spike in cases.
You know, to give them a normal childhood. "Why are we punishing them"
I don't know Brian, why did you not want kids in school in 2020? Less than 500 died of Covid during the entire pandemic.
Only 20 of those dead kids under 17 were perfectly healthy to begin with, the rest were fatties and/or compromised.
But not all of them are vaccinated, oh the Horror!!!

The House Plant campaigned on "if Trump had done his job...all the people would still be alive"
Then Ficus Plant has more people die of Covid on his watch with a vaccine that had 1 million jabs a day happening on Day 1.
Trump had a vaccine the last month he was in office and ramped up jabs from zero to 1 million in a month.
What a bunch of F'ing losers the Dems are. They never get it right.

Lol. the 6% is not in the least statistically significant.
As I and many keep repeating. We simply don't have data on hospitalisations and deaths that are not likely to happen till Jan and mid Jan respectively.
Best we can do is look for comparable data from previous variants and previous waves.
What we have in Omicron is like a whole new pandemic. Different infection rate, different symptoms even. We were all caught pants down by original covid, and this is faster by far and within a month has reached most countries in significant numbers.
Hand wringing is what we might be doing in Jan, if we get to look back at a lost opportunity to mitigate this.

I'll whoop and cheer, with you if omicron is a damp squib. For now, I see value in observing from a distance to see what my enemy can do, Let heros like yourself go out and be our test subjects. Bless ya. Try not to hog too many hospital beds for too long.

UK 1 in 60 current covid case.
US 1 in 30 current covid case.

Try to only mingle with 29 family and friends and I'm sure you will have nothing to fear!

AMS: Sadly, I fear the administration are repeating misinformation like when Biden announced that "The only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated"

True: The unvaccinated are ripe for infection and SOME illness and death. But that wrongly implies that the vaccine is everything or that only the unvaccinated are facing a bleak time. The pandemic running rife would be a threat to the vaccinated: just not SO bleak.

Also, I question the policy of keeping kids in school. They can still carry the virus home to the rest of the family.

2022 is an election year. No way in hell do Dems want to take kids out of school if they can avoid it. One of the major reasons they lost in VA was the schooling issue.

So it's a popularity issue. I can get that. The Dems and Biden are simply not in a strong position to do Anything! It's not a matter of blame, they just don't have majority in government or in popular opinion. So, they are doing the Math. It's a pity. They seem to have to do 'stupid' because 'not so stupid' would reduce their support to a level where they lose all influence.
Jeez. Your future sure really is bleak, vaccinated or not and whatever your politics. Reality is harsh. The lunatics took over the asylum a long time ago.
