I never looked into it but at first blush, yeah, that's what I think. Prove me wrong. Also you need to post proof of your seemingly outlandish claim that BLM/antifa has killed more cops than have right wingers, or else you should retract your moronic statement and go sit in a cave. |

These are the right questions: In BC, what proportion *in the ICU* are unvaccinated? In BC, what proportion *on ventilators* are unvaccinated? Let’s get specific. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

As per BC CDC for Jan 2/22 to Jan 31/22 the number of Covid deaths Unvaccinated 59 Vaccinated 67. You still haven't paid any attention to my original post. You are asking the wrong question. "but if you make yourselves sheep, the wolves will eat you." Benjamin Franklin |

| Gandler Member since: Aug 15, 2019 Threads: 30 Posts: 5257 | I was reviewing some ancient (2005-2006, ancient by PowerPoint Standards), training slides in an old folder today, one of them was titled "Respiratory Etiquette", which immediately grabbed my attention, and contained some common sense instructions (sneeze into your arm never your hand, wash your hands constantly if showing signs of illness, etc...) but one thing that stood out to me was "If an employee is showing signs of potential respiratory illness, Supervisors should not be afraid to ask the employee to wear a surgical mask for the saftey of others if they cannot be isolated". This is the first example of a time I can think of that mask wearing was encouraged, not for the saftey of the user, but of those in the office (and yes "surgical mask" was specifically used). Generally (in my experience) mask wearing is encourages for the saftey of the user/wearer. I just found it interesting (obviously predates covid by 1.5 decades). And, this is just general office saftey-insurance slides that were originally prepared by some defunct risk management company, not something that is highly medical/academic in nature. It just goes to show, that mask wearing is not only for your own saftey, but for those around you. |

| petroglyph Member since: Aug 3, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 6227 | I'm not a big WaPo reader, mainly because I get timed out and other. But a friend sent me this a little while ago and I was unaware that they did this part for free, it's kind of cool. https://www.washingtonpost.com/newsletters/coronavirus-updates/ They say the Omicron is like we've been hearing, more gentler than other variants, but apparently not so for the old and those with weakened immune systems. Did you even view what you posted? The graph at 1:52, percentage of hospitalization of unvaccinated 23.4%. You still haven't been able to figure it out yet RX. Remember the quote "there are lies, damn lies and statistics." Listen to Dr. Bonnie closely because she is probably the best health officer in North America. Her specialty is pandemics and she had world wide recognition in that specialty before Covid hit, rather fortunate for BC. (Yes I know officially she would be Dr. Henry but many people call her Dr. Bonnie as a term of affection.) She will give you the answer. "but if you make yourselves sheep, the wolves will eat you." You need to open your mind grasshopper. How you worded your original question was wrong but your basic belief is correct. What I stated about hospital cases and deaths was also correct. The problem is you haven't followed to the end result of Covid becoming endemic and high vaccination rates. 1. We know that vaccinated people can get Covid and some end up in hospital and die. 2. We have an imaginary country that has a 100% vaccination rate. 3. 100% of the people in that country in the hospitals with Covid are vaccinated. 4. 95% of the people in BC are vaccinated, what percentage of the hospital cases in BC are vaccinated people.
