https://www.macrotrends.net/countries/USA/united-states/life-expectancy Yeah, I'd have to say net positive. lol Well, as far as staying alive is concerned. I don't know that people living so long, on average, is necessarily a positive. "War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen..let us give them all they want." William T. Sherman |

Do you think antibiotics are a scam? I hear they can cause the Government to be able to read your thoughts. You might want to look into that should you ever get strep throat. "War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen..let us give them all they want." William T. Sherman |

That much I can largely agree with, except the last sentence, which has little to do with anything. "War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen..let us give them all they want." William T. Sherman |

No, the system is a scam. The system is based upon fake science and reverse incentives (they make more money to be unhealthy). True antibiotic example: My mother had a urinary tract infection. I knew because of the blood test I ordered. She was placed on an antibiotic. Her symptoms cleared-up and I was relieved. But I wanted to make sure whatever was spawning was gone, in the case the bacteria was present in small amounts. The system didn't pay for another blood test to prove the bacteria was gone. I was told they only test on the front-end. I said they need to make sure the issue has been resolved or it can grow again and have the same issue. I also think the bacteria adapts to the antibiotic, so the same antibiotic won't work too many times. The bacteria gets smart. The only way I could protect my mother is to pay to get a test on the back-end. |

My mother had three firms of health insurance. The issue is the socialist system (implies lack of science) is not set-up to remove the bacteria. If it were, then scientific proof would be required. Since the system doesn't depend on real science, they skip that step. So they can see a visit in 6 months to a year or so. |

You can even pay to have someone moved to a new facility if you don't like the care. See capitalism works fine, as long as you remember that you have to have enough money. If you're Musk, you probably just buy the place. That's what works for you, so you say. And surprisingly I'm for capitalism as the first choice. Except for things that don't work for most people. Buying yachts, fine. You don't really need it; you can wait until you pay for it. You get really sick, have a heart attack, if you can pay for everything yourself, fine. If you can't, not so good. That's why it is a different model than Walmart. I buy a cheap screwdriver and it breaks; I can take it back. Amazing people think goods in hospitals somehow are going to work more like Walmart. But if a patient wants a drug, even as much as an aspirin. A nurse who must complete more training than a salesclerk, may have to go look at the patients' medical record, may have to call a doctor in some cases, to see if a drug can be given along with the condition of patient or medication the patient is already on. Aspirin may be even advised against because of an upcoming procedure or operation as it can affect clotting. Time is money, and levels of experience is money also. Like I said before, there are always improvements and monitoring needed in the system, no matter what system you use. * oh, and I forgot to mention. You break your cheap screwdriver, there is a rarely expensive costs for that. But there's all kinds of punitive damage that can happen in healthcare, because people get really perturbed about any errors. And they themselves too often pursue these expensive options if things go wrong. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |
