What do you mean by 'routinely'? Like maybe 0.1% of all surgeries on American citizens who reside in the USA?

You don't have enough money to pay me to go have a surgery in Latin America......

More than you think and some insurance companies now actually fly you to other countries because even with travel and lodging expenses it is still cheaper than overpriced American Hospitals.

Yes this is from Medical Tourism Wiki, I am too mentally drained to do real research, but there are plenty of legitimate articles on it and endless news segments you can YouTube:

"Employers may offer incentives such as paying for air travel and waiving out-of-pocket expenses for care outside of the US. For example, in January 2008, Hannaford Bros., a supermarket chain based in Maine, began paying the entire medical bill for employees to travel to Singapore for hip and knee replacements, including travel for the patient and companion"

" In 2007, a subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, Companion Global Healthcare, teamed up with hospitals in Thailand, Singapore, Turkey, Ireland, Costa Rica and India"

As prices rise here, and decline in developing countries it is cheaper for some plans to ship customers to hospitals overseas for surgeries, that is just a reality. I predict this trend will continue until U.S. gets a better healthcare system. Because, Private insurance will always opt for the cheapest legal way, even if that means flying you to Singapore for a Hip surgery....

It is not just cosmetic surgeries anymore (that still happens often), but actually insurance approved (and paid for) medical trips. It also happens natively too (offering incentives to have a procedure in an out of state hospital if it is cheaper). But, they are learning in Asia and Latin America it is cheaper than anywhere in the U.S....

I'll take that as "I have no answer for you. Sorry..."

A business benefits its customers..... or it wouldn't have customers.
A business benefits its workers.... or it wouldn't have workers.
A business benefits its owners, or it wouldn't exist.

Easy rabbit hole to get down into, and out of....

I agree with those, but I am sure we disagree greatly on how those should be prioritized.

Walmart couldn't pay their employees so little, if taxpayers weren't subsidizing the low wages with EBT and Medicare.

That is total nonsense. WMT pays a wage that is competitive for the retail sector. Retail has always had low pay. Quit acting like other retailers were paying high wages until WMT figured out they could pay less. It makes zero sense.

I don't know that. I prioritize them equally. ALL THREE must be true for a business to be successful. How is that not possible? Unless you are talking a country where there is slave labor and the workers have no choice but to work for that company. That's not the USA today.

You have a whole bunch of hypotheticals and specific situations in there that I am not going to even try to answer, and in particular I am not going to go down the rabbit hole of business philosophy and just who or what a business is supposed to benefit.

Trump made a big deal and attacked several companies for outsourcing so their products could be made cheaper. Just a reminder. He didn't support your view.

That's no surprise as I am not a blind faith Trump supporter. There are a plethora of things he does that I abhor. Many policies I agree with wholeheartedly.

I am not against any company outsourcing if they can find an equivalent product can be manufactured elsewhere for less. I just bought the computer I am typing on for less than $200. Do you think it was manufactured by an American factory crushed by unions requiring a $30 an hour wage for the janitor? Not a chance.

We use our holier than thou attitude to basically say the Mexican or Chinese or Thai worker, who would have NO JOB without the outsourced jobs, that they are bad for working for $5 an hour instead of being unemployed. I bet they don't think so.

My above philosophy is not popular amongst Democrats or Republicans, by the way.... Both parties spout "protecting American jobs". Have our factories be able to produce products at a cost EVEN CLOSE to what our foreign competitors can, and we would beat the foreign competitors. Think of the costs to ship that stuff from China that has to be ADDED on top of the actual costs of production!

I wonder how many people will have to pay the stimulus money back on their 2020 taxes?

We won’t have to pay taxes on the stimulus money.
