The liberal approach is the only one which gives all the options. The BRUTAL reality is kids (girls and boys) need explicit sex counseling at the age 11 or earlier. The BRUTAL reality is if you depend on parents to do it, you're not going to solve the worst of the problems. The BRUTAL reality is once you've argued abstinence as an option you need to make it okay for kids who ignore that to pursue "the pill" and other birth control options for those that can use them. The BRUTAL reality is FREE birth control like "the pill" will pay for itself in poor communities if you think welfare moms are a burden on society. The BRUTAL reality is religious organizations need to spend way more time preparing their kids for a PLANNED PARENTHHOOD than condemning out of wedlock sex. And they need to stop pretending it's more to chastity than luck that their girls didn't get pregnant.

Kids in nice neighborhoods are making all the same mistakes. They aren't better. But you're unlikely to hear about it as affluence often means more education more options and thus better secrecy.

See, lots of Conservatives are weird that way. They really want these kids to get born, but don't so much care what happens to them after that.

If that was the case then after almost 50 years of legal abortion we should no longer have a welfare class. But we do. The argument that more abortion = less welfare is very weak. Education spending keeps going up no matter if more or less kids are born, less kids in the 70s way more spending. Similar to today.
