"President Joe Biden’s job approval hits a new low of 36.4 percent during the first nine months of his presidency, according to a Zogby poll. Biden was viewed negatively among all age groups, particularly the younger generation of voters between 18 and 29 years old, who viewed him 63 percent negatively and only 34 percent positively."

John Zogby is a Democrat and his polls are usually left-leaning. If this is a left-leaning poll how much lower are numbers really. 34% and that's with the media totally in your corner? What's it going to be in two months when everybody is paying thru the nose for gasoline and heating oil and electricity. And the store shelves are empty and inflation is eating away at their income. Could Beijing Joe go into the twenties? Has any sitting president ever polled that low?

And you better believe the White House and Congress is noticing. They live and die by the polls. They must be pulling their hair out. Not only do they have to get reelected they have to do it when their president is the worst president in the last hundred years. Even worse than Jimmy Carter and how the hell is that possible.

No, WWII got us out of the Depression.

No, things began to slowly improve after 1933, by 1940 things were pretty much back to normal, but it did take WWII to allow our GDP to reach the levels it had during the Roaring Twenties.

Capitalism is superior to Communism.

No, in the abstract communism would get the nod.

The problem is that in order for it to work there needs to be no corruption.

Dream on ... China is very corrupt, as was the once communist USSR.

Uh, no. Things got worse after FDR was elected. They were "back to normal by 1940" because of war spending in the late 1930s.

Have you not taken a modern history class?

FJB rap song has gone viral all over social media.
Beijing Joe is the laughing stock of the entire world.
Let's go Brandon is what the NBC reporter used to try
and cover up the crowd chanting FJB. Dang funny.

Yes, a lot in high school, then a major in college, then law school.

Any other questions?

Much better than you do it seems.

"The result was that between 1933 and 1939, these government policies— the New Deal—increased prices and wages by about 20 percent. These artificial price and wage increases impeded what should have been a strong recovery from the Depression. They prevented the natural forces of competition from pushing prices down and pushing worker productivity up. Instead, artificially high wages led industry to hire few workers, and high prices reduced demand for products.
If these policies had not been adopted, my research, as well as research by other economists, indicates the economy would have returned to its normal level of employment and output by 1936. In other words, the policies that were supposed to restore prosperity actually prolonged the Depression."

FDR's socialist/communist policies not only did not end the Depression it made it worse by sucking what little air was left out of the economy. It was our increased spending in the private sector to support the war in Europe in the late 1930s that finally got us out of the Depression. People do not realize how much equipment we manufactured and sent to England long before we ever got into the war. Planes and jeeps and tanks and everything else had to be made right here in the USA. Of course this stuff is never taught in Liberal schools anymore.
