I didn’t watch the SOTU (never do, they’re boring).

But judging from the lack of snarky comments from the righties I’m assuming Biden did a fine job.

I do see on social media that these two geniuses made fools of themselves (shocker).

My impression of the SOTU was that the President wanted to be anywhere but there. He seemed to want to speed read through it without pausing for applause. It was a typical Biden speech--awkward to watch--so it wasn't really surprising.

It wasn't horrible and it wasn't soaring in any way.

When he tries to unite, he always comes up short.

We will see what is done after the speech--all the stuff that is announced may bring hope, but it is getting it done that brings change.

I probably watched half of it and thought he did a good job. I hate when they stand up and applaud and slow down the whole process.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent.

I didn't get that Impression, but he probably did, because you know there situation that requires constant attention right now.
As for not taking applause breaks, I prefer it.

We don't need a President slowly saying a sentence then waiting for applause. I prefer to watch somebody just keep reading. (It also bothers me when comedians pause for applause, I prefer it to keep flowing).

I’m wondering if they were intentionally being jackasses in the hope of being forcibly removed from the proceedings? I’m no SOTU expert, but has it ever happened?

Obama was heckled
I watched that one live
What is going on with the right wing.
This is really an example of weakest House minority leader I have ever seen in my lifetime of following politics.
McCarthy should have come down on these clowns a long time ago. Talk about lack of leadership. No doubt he will play the legitimate political discourse card. Sad.

Fair enough. I don't want a whole lot of applause stops but it seemed awkward because he just read through them. Not a horrible thing...and he is not the best speaker, which we already knew.

I want to see what he proposes moving forward; the SOTU is not all that important.

He was heckled a bit. Should not have happened. Pelosi ripped up a copy of a SOTU speech. Should not have happened. Bad behavior rarely results in anything good. I would like people on the right to learn that. The left, too, but them looking bad is not horrible for the side I favor. All in all, our representatives act like we allow them to because we keep electing a lot of the same people.

lmao
RonC is literally incapable of criticizing the actions of a GOPer without “both sides”-ing it.
One trick pony.

The reason I have AMS288 blocked and rarely read his comments, unless they are quoted, is that I cannot remember him ever criticizing the side he supports. I have plenty of problems with politicians in general and I think it is worthless to try to converse with someone like that. I like it here better with him and Terp blocked. They can still reply to what I write and I have no need to read it!
