If you read up on their road and Belt initiative you will see they have borrowing ridiculous amounts of money just to build things and keep people employed. Unfortunately a lot of it has been wasted on silly projects and now they have to start paying back the money.

I still think the early spread of the pandemic in China had a lot to do with the system where you are heavily discouraged or even punished for reporting bad news up the chain of authority. That just generates a potential crisis eventually if you can't report and catalogue problems properly.

Honestly I think every country on the planet will eventually disappear. Heck, when our sun burns out we are all doomed.

My point is we are going to see China become insignificant in the next 20 to 30 years. Within 5 years I expect china economy to resemble Cuba more than the U.S.

China historically rises and falls apart. They are the latest "miracle" economy that was not questioned enough on the way up. Demographics alone suggests they are going to fall and hard. The question is does the USA break apart before or after?

Okay, this is probably completely off topic but I have known a fair amount of "Hawaiians" born in Hawaii. As a group they are the dumbest people that I have ever known. Obviously, I am not saying all are dumb, but from my sample it is a very sad indictment on Hawaiians.
