Reminder that reasonable bail is a Constitutional right and maybe SooPoo wants to take tat one away too. Bail is not punishment. Bail is a cash promise to appear in court and answer for charges. People have been charged with worse crimes than our shooter and been granted bail.

Bail may be a ‘cash promise’, but it certainly can’t stop the criminal from committing more violent crimes until he honors that ‘promise’. I think the safety of society trumps the need for any bail. Of course that is tied to the right to a speedy trial.

Well that's all part of the ""Excessive bail shall not be required" part of the Bill of Rights. Set bail set bail conditions-no drugs or alcohol confiscate firearms and ban possession and use thereof, and let him work and earn a living while preparing his legal defense. That's what happens in a free society. Violate bail and e can work on his defense from his jail cell with regular calls and letters to his lawyer.

Again, people have been accused of committed far more dangerous crimes and have been let out on bail. That's what happens in a free society.

I think you’ll agree with me that there are some crimes where bail is not warranted? I think that any violent crime fits that bill.

If you want to make bail less accessible
Then be serious
Raise taxes
Right now we simply don't have the capacity to jail people until it's proven they are guilty or not guilty. Only those accused of the most serious crimes are jailed until guilt can or cannot be proven.
That's how it should be
Unless you raise taxes and build the facilities to jail more of the accused till guilt can or can't be proven
Are you for higher taxes????????????
Be honest

I agree that some crimes are so severe that bail may not be warranted, but I am not willing to go so far as to say "any violent crime fits that bill." Each charge, each circumstance and each defendant evaluated based on each circumstance.

There are people in pretrial detention who simply do not have the money to pay bail.

Similar to the deceased voters voting in 2020:

These are real folks. :)

The name even has "real" in it [scientific proof].

All the "to divide" protesters are "real" too.

Did you see the "real" mass produced signs of all the retirees?

Its just a few "to divide" billionaires that got access to taxpayer funding through NGOs.

Similar to the Wizard of Oz fidget.

Same old story. People work with these animals for years, and nothing happens, until it does. He raised the animal from cub size.

Quote:
An investigation continued Monday into what prompted a tiger to attack and kill its handler over the weekend while performing in front of a crowd at an animal preserve in Oklahoma, authorities said.

The attack unfolded on Saturday at the Growler Pines Tiger Preserve in Hugo in southeast Oklahoma, near the Texas border, and claimed the life of 37-year-old Ryan Easley, the owner of the preserve, Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park told ABC News on Monday.

Easley and a tiger were performing for an audience when the animal turned on Easley, attacking and killing him, Park said.
"It happened toward the end of a show in which there were people that saw this incident occur,"

I'm surprised the network that employed this one is still on the air:

What were they thinking for those years?
