This seems an ongoing policy issue where each September, departments have to justify their budget by actually spending what they have been granted under a 'Use it or Lose it' Budget policy. "If you can't spend what we budgeted for this year, we will budget less for next year" is a commonly held policy across may organisations.

Similar stupidity has occurred across multiple administrations including Obama's.

Also, those Millions on seafood and steaks are peanuts in the £93Billion total cited.

I suppose I'm not cognizant of the situational awareness in that area but for the life of me I don't know why we don't escort tankers through in convoy formation with our ships and planes flanking the convoy both to protect rom and also counter-attack any Iranians who launch attacks on the tankers.

With destroyers, corvettes and whatever else used to screen the tankers there should be no issues...unless we run out of missiles.

Iran's greatest threat to the US has always been asymmetrical warfare which they will still be capable of after this war. Trump has increased that possibility. The only way that ends is if the regime falls. He started it; it's up to him to win or still be a big loser.
