Copper mines in Israel's Negev Desert — ancient sites that may have inspired the legend of King Solomon's mines of gold — were abandoned 3,000 years ago, when people there used up all the plants to make charcoal for smelting, a new study finds. | odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 165 Posts: 6378 | depends on how you ask the question >>> is celiac disease over diagnosed? There is a problem with both the under-diagnosis as well as the over-diagnosis of celiac disease. Under-diagnosis is a well-known, worldwide problem, which is particularly relevant in the United States where the rate of diagnosis has lagged behind other countries ___ Is celiac disease overdiagnosed? Many patients are diagnosed as celiacs even without completing the whole diagnostic process, with consequent risk of misdiagnosis and delay in the evaluation of other diseases ___ Why is celiac more common now? The Answer Is in The Gut Microbiome. Gluten-free food is everywhere these days. Some scoff at “going gluten-free,” believing it's a trendy diet choice, when it may actually be a necessary diet modification for some people. If I remember correctly testing for Celiac is not just a simple one step process. I looked into it for myself one time. I think you have to eat weeks of food that you think is making you sick before you can even do the test. I'll look it up later. I didn't do any actual test either eventually. | odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 165 Posts: 6378 | seems like a stupid question, but I go to this site to look for chances of getting rained out in MLB betting. Never sure I don't get screwed on bonus bets if that happens. And if the stadium has a roof, the site still gives the chance of rain like it matters, so I had to ask https://swishanalytics.com/mlb/weather >>> if a baseball stadium has a roof, can the game get rained out? No, retractable roof stadiums do not have rain delays since the roof is closed during inclement weather. But there have been several instances where baseball games in domes have been delayed or postponed. I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

| odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 165 Posts: 6378 | A conspiracy theory flashed across my mind: the Biden administration, in order to hide what they did, coerced google into turning around backwards the normal view of inflation: that it makes money worth less over time If you didn't already know that, you would look at the first 'also ask' below and think your money is worth more now than it was in 2019! at least, it's confusing and hard to see what happened to your savings and the value of your perhaps unincreased income No, I don't think the Biden administration did that. But I do wonder what's going on. I mean, what the ? >>> How much is $10 000 dollars adjusted for inflation? Value of $10,000 from 2019 to 2023 $10,000 in 2019 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $11,934.29 today, an increase of $1,934.29 over 4 years. The dollar had an average inflation rate of 4.52% per year between 2019 and today, producing a cumulative price increase of 19.34%. [the normal view of the above question is that 12,000 dollars in 2019 is only worth a bit more than 10,000 now ... 10,000 is worth 9711.64 from June '22 to June '23, according to a calculator, which is what I was trying to find out] ___ Does inflation mean the dollar is worth less? The impact inflation has on the time value of money is that it decreases the value of a dollar over time. The time value of money is a concept that describes how the money available to you today is worth more than the same amount of money at a future date [thank you, investopedia.com, but I still don't like that second sentence.
