What does my home improvement schedule have to do with any thing? You argue best when you argue my point.

More bottom line. You have shown yourself to be a xenophobic, White Christian Nationalist racist through and through, Scott.

I’m not even Christian, but good try. It’s not your home improvement. It’s the home improvement of a neighbor of Mr. Hezbollah, or Mr. Hamas. If you define racist as treating everyone equally, without prejudice, then I’ll agree that’s me.

Go have a drink with some of your Scottish visitors friends before the beer runs out.

Interesting to me about Truman's decision to recognize Israel, otherwise a plea/warning to the next Dim President.

as for the trend I expect, that Jewish voters will abandon the Dims, it is proceeding but not there yet, and may never reach 50-50 even

... exit polls from Democratic, Republican, and nonpartisan sources suggest that Jewish voters backed Biden by 42% in 2020. Our average of exit polling in 2024 finds a 36% margin in favor of Harris — suggesting a swing of R+6% between 2020 and 2024

https://split-ticket.org/2025/02/18/the-jewish-american-vote/ . I think 42% and 36% 'margins' means the margin of support, not the actual percent support

What country or countries does your lineage trace back to?

I trace back to three, and don't have an allegiance to any of them. Even though I have relatives in those places. Don't vote to favor any of them for reasons of some connection.

I'm not Jewish, if that is what you are asking. There were some anti-Jew bigots who were relatives, I tend to try to be the reverse ... at least no bigotry. I'm not obliged to support Israel in any way

If I had been Truman, I might have listened to Marshall and others and been against recognizing Israel. But now it is fait accompli that Israel exists and I am totally against attempting to undo that by terrorism.* Not to mention our long-standing relationship as allies, that counts for a lot.
The Yahoo Netanyahu is a problem for me, I think he and his ilk also is causing a lot of the drop in support for Israel here

* the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip possibly could by now be taking a different course than terrorism if it were not for Iran, seeing as how every other nearby state has given up constant war with Israel
