What this is, is like a store that doesn’t open enough cash registers, creates even more lag time and delays. Of course, on a federal salary with no real incentives like the private industry you’ll have even more uninspired federal workers. Either that, or they will end up doing next to nothing.

It's going to be extremely easy to cut the bloat out of the federal government. It was bad before but under Joe Biden it grew exponentially. Every time there was an employment increase a good portion it was it was always in the federal government hiring new people, creating new jobs. It's the hallmark of every socialist regime that government is gigantic and employs more people than the private sector sometimes. Everybody is living off the government tit and it eventually goes Belly Up because there's not enough money coming in supporting it.

Can you imagine if he'd said "Tax is my favourite word"? Would anyone have voted for him?

A tariff is just a tax, folks. Payable in the USA by businesses ( and eventually their customers ) within the USA.

You guys voted for a dolt that loves the concept of taxing American businesses. Maybe even a dolt that thinks the foreign exporters will somehow pay this tax..... Like he thought mexico would pay for his wall.
