The Republicans won the two elections to fill the House seats in Florida. The Democrats outspent the Republicans logarithmically but failed to win. They did do better than Harris did against Trump, so the Dems will at least take some solace from that. But these two Trumpy winners will make it easier for Trump to push through his agenda.

Just shows how stupid the lefties sound when they say Trump would lose if the election were held again. Or that he is somehow losing support of his base. Comparing how they did to Harris is not all that relevant.

Once again, gotta disagree. And the Repubs lost a wildly publicized judicial race in Wisconsin. Both sides poured ridiculous resources into it. You can keep your head buried in the sand and say these elections are not based on perceptions of Trump. I do agree with you that this is VERY EARLY in Trump’s term, and that by the midterms having Trump’s endorsement may be golden. Or it may be a lead weight . Time will tell.

They lost a race in a state that is at least for now more blue than purple. Not even a legislative race but a judicial race. A position that will have very little impact on anything Trump is doing. Meanwhile the GOP won two House races, and yes FL is mostly red.

To say this was bad for Trump is like saying that Yankees did well after they went 1-2 in a series with the Red Sox, losing on Friday and Saturday but winning on Sunday.

Meanwhile a Democrat Senator just went on a 25 hour hissy fit over Trump. Democrats think this stuff is making them look good with the average voter. It is just making them look silly, their approval in Congress is what, 25%??

Hey clueless, that judge race was either important to Trump, or they wasted a bunch of money there in that "unimportant" election. WHICH IS IT?

They will make America. Trump is just mirroring what other nations are doing. Time we stop being suckers.

American industry will not return and be competitive if the USA is in a pure, free trade situation as other countries pay workers less wages and have less stringent environmental standards: they can produce goods for much less than we can here in the USA.

Even with tariffs third world countries can deliver a product cheaper than we can produce it, assuming we have the factories and workers at hand, which we don't.

Trump needs to destroy the clean air and clean water progress we've made in the past fifty years if he wants smokestack industries to return.

I am all for it as manufacturing can provide a decent wage for American workers, but the minimum wage needs to lowered in order for American goods to be competitive.

In the short term tariffs will cause problems sourcing comparable, tariff free goods made in America as few are these days.

Will spoiled, lazy, pampered and entitled Americans be willng to work as hard and for as little as the industrious third world workers in Bangladesh and Vietnam?
