If a President makes an official statement, am I not supposed to take it literally?
I don't believe Trump will run for anything himself in Israel. It would not shock me if certain fa.ilt members do though. I don't think Trump even cares that much about Israel, he just knows Israel likes to control people with money, and he likes money so he goes with it.
I could say the same about Israel or France or Australia. We should believe our allies ‘being in existence’ is a benefit to our country. If you can’t understand that, I can’t help you. What do you even mean by ‘official statement’? He talks and tweets A LOT. How do you differentiate his comments into ‘official’ and unofficial’? YES, often times when people speak they are not meant to be taken literally! You didn’t know this? Come on! A simple easy example is when Trump said he’d run for office in Israel It is unlikely but not impossible one of Trump’s Jewish grandkids or sons/daughters in law do. But I’d say those chances are less than 1%. I think running the multi billion dollar Trump enterprise when DJT passes on will interest them more. |

So Trump's whole defense theory was that everything a President does is an official act, so by his logic that makes all statements he makes in logic official statements and can as such be infered to be his intent. France and Australia help us a lot in wars, and with Intel. Israel does neither. Israel in fact steals from us (and has a history of selling stolen Intel to the Soviet Union.) They also try to rope us into Middle East Wars that only benefit them (Iraq and Iran are prime examples.). A relationship with them has far more liability than benefit. |

Be sure and let us now what Donny says to believe as true and what to take as hyperbole. |

In fact, using your own phone has the same issue, but at least that will take a court order first. (one hopes that's still true.) Quote: The Trump administration is ordering federal agencies to install the White House's new app on the government-issued phones of millions of employees in a move IT experts are calling "dangerous" and unprecedented, according to a report from Government Executive published Friday.
The app, launched in March, promises users "unfiltered" access to the administration's priorities and includes a feed of presidential social media posts, policy announcements, and even a button that lets users send a pre-written text reading "Greatest President Ever!" to Trump.
The Federal Aviation Administration told employees Friday its IT team will automatically install "The White House" application on all FAA-issued iPhones and iPads "as mandated by the White House." Internal communications obtained by Government Executive show automatic downloads will begin at one agency next week.
Sonny Hashmi, a former longtime government IT executive, warned that "any app that is installed on government issued devices can potentially create backdoor access to government networks behind the firewall." Cybersecurity researchers previously flagged the app for sharing user data with third parties. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

Yes, according to critics, architectural historians, and newly released renderings, Donald Trump's proposed 250-foot "Independence Arch" will obstruct the historic sightline of the Lincoln Memorial while framing a view of Arlington House. | rxwine Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 217 Posts: 23104 | Trump had nothing to do with this, of course. Quote: Last week, the U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) published (2)two Form 278-T (2) disclosure reports covering Trump’s personal financial activity from January through March 2026. The documents, more than 100 pages, show more than 3,700 individual stock transactions (3). That’s more than 40 trades per market day across a three-month period.
Quote: What’s drawing the most scrutiny isn’t the volume of the trades, but the overlap between what Trump’s account was buying and what his administration was doing.
According to CNBC, the filings show Trump’s biggest purchases skewed heavily toward technology (4). Among the three dozen transactions valued between $1 million and $5 million, the filings reveal purchases of ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW), Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA), Adobe (NASDAQ: ADBE), Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), Oracle (NYSE: ORCL), Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO), Motorola (NYSE: MSI), Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), Texas Instruments (NASDAQ: TXN) and Dell (NYSE: DELL). His largest sales of Microsoft, Amazon and Meta (NASDAQ: META) all took place on February 10 in a single day of heavy activity.
Scripps News reported that Trump purchased millions of dollars of Oracle stock in early 2026, around the same time his administration was helping the company secure a deal to continue operating TikTok in the US (5).
The Financial Times also noted (6) that Boeing (NYSE: BA), Qualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM) and GE Aerospace — also in the trading portfolio — were companies whose executives accompanied Trump on his trip to China last week.
Capitol Trades reported (7) that Trump bought $740,000 worth of AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) stock early this year, with about $50,000 - $100,000 bought on January 6, “just before AMD was authorized by the Department of Commerce to sell its chips to the Chinese customers on January 13.”
Matthew Tuttle, CEO of Tuttle Capital Management, told Bloomberg the volume looks more like “a hedge fund with massive algo trades” than a personal account.

After Trump is gone the Dims and Repubs have to make the ‘blind trust’ thing normal Presidents do a law. Some here have said ‘no individual stock’ trades allowed. To me, that doesn’t go far enough. Trump can be making millions on Energy ETFs, chip maker ETFs, etc…. Seems apparent that Trump uses the emoluments clause as toilet paper. |

I missed this last week with everything else going on. But, Trump is making more statements about planning to be in power for a third term. It is pretty clear he does this at military academies to get a sense of the temperature with soon to be military leaders.
This would be more alarming if Trump was not basically 80 and in poor health. But, it is still is one of the more alarming aspects of his presidency.
Wait. According to SooPoo and AZDuffy, we shouldn't pay any attention to such talk. Such talk is just to get a rise out of the lefties and to "own the libs" or whatever. |
