I think that would be so likely as to be near-certain. Here's another one: Suppose you travel back in time to, say, Ancient Egypt at the time of Rameses ][ (ie the Great). You bring along books about Ancient Egypt, translated to hieroglyphs (contrary to Hollywood movies, the Ancient Egyptians did not speak English) and show them around. Would they find them interesting and insightful, or would they die laughing? Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

You wouldn't have to research till it hurts, you can just make some of it up : ) I was able to imagine the story right away, seriously I think you may have something here? I was wondering if the priest would just devolve into killing and torturing like the others or try and stop the slaughter? The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |

A fun read is 1632 Ring of Fire A modern West Virginia Coal town goes back in time and place to 1632 Europe right in the middle of the Protestant Catholic battles I read this book and despite the dumb book jacket picture cover, its a real fun read A tiny modern democracy right smack in the middle of medieval warring kingdoms. Its got a lot of fans and became a series of books. https://www.amazon.com/1632-Ring-Fire-Eric-Flint/dp/0671319728 Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Thanks! run with it.
Oh, no. I'd have to learn the state and practices of two religions, plus a bit of another two. I'd dislocate my eyes from rolling them so much! :)
Looks like that's one for you to make up and write down. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

There's a similar book I read. I forget the title or who wrote it. "Islands in the Sea of Time" maybe? Anyway, an island off the US coast, maybe off Massachusetts, somehow travels back in time a really long span, before much in the way of written history, or so. Internal problems lead them into trouble with pre-pre-pre-Columbian civilizations in Mexico (some people get eaten), but on the other hand they establish a nice working relationships with pre-pre-pre-Britons (they had a sail-powered Coast Guard ship with them, complete with captain and crew). It was ok, but I was disappointed when some Christians rebel because they think now there's no way for the fictional Biblical story of the Jesus to play out. Unfortunately it's brushed aside and the rebels wind up manning the salt mines (their first penal colony!) Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |
