my dear Twitter friends, we still eat from markets, travel in cars, flush our toilets and power on our devices

We've got a few more years but not many. You don't need to be a mystic to know the future.

Modern civilization is beyond effed.

People claiming they were railroaded can use the appeal process just like everyone else. Otherwise, it's just talk.

Obviously, this is related to politics, but generally:


The governments (and now private contractors) depend upon free or cheap labor to make their quotas.

It used to be called slavery, which has been outlawed.

So the legal system has to be sneaky about it.

In the following case, they kidnapped a man for 25 years.


So it's practically nothing in the greater scope of things to imprison 800 innocent persons for several years like Jacob.

They've been framing folks for 150 years.

That's what they do.

all of us gamblers have to have a tremendous amount of respect for Jacobson, since he towers in that field's math. As a climatologist he is a bit of an unknown, but he has proved better than most for finding real data, not made up stuff.

pretty honest to point that out. It's tremendously good news to know that very real increases in CO2 and methane are not becoming exponential increases.

You need to go find some other guy who will simply hide these things and not show counter-indications.

Jacobson is very pessimistic about California in particular. That makes sense.

I'll give climate skeptics the same criticisms they give climatologists. Skeptics don't know the exact future either. You're just wagering that you're more right and they're more wrong.

There's some speculation among AI researchers that because of the nature of AI itself, (the technology that can contribute to its own improvements) that it might reach singularity faster than expected.

And I'm still concerned about all those videos of Boston Dynamics kicking their robots is going to come back to bite us one day. : )
