Seriously, years ago a clever scientist invented a machine for a process called polymerase chain reaction, PCR, which can copy DNA. This allows trace amounts of DNA to be reproduced into larger identical amounts, enabling testing to be carried out.

I had a thread on the need, uses and capabilities of 3d printing.

Moscow displayed a building built by 3d printing. One LA firm used a giant dot matrix print head to print an entire wall so it started with interior paint then printed drywall, then printed round pipes and wiring and then printed brickface and exterior paint.

Beware: "listening" to a 3d printer a hacker can learn design secrets.

Beware: a firm came along and screen-scraped a Commons Licensed site and started selling ALL their devices on ebay without paying any royalties or seeking permission.

three years with plastic pieces... I stopped the film at teh beginning. these look like toys that don't float and that he wouldn't fit in anyway.
When I sober up and develop some patience, I'l watch the whole clip.

Wednesday March 9th dawned gray and drizzly. By ten am it was partly cloudy and windy. By noon it was sunny and windy. By 2 pm it was overcast and windy. By 4 it was drizzling again. By 5 it was partly cloudy, still drizzling, with a rainbow in the horizon and very windy.

Question: who got the weather drunk?

I'm a big Elton John fan but there is one song of his I can't stand -- Bennie and the Jets. It was like Elton went out of his way to make an awful and annoying song. Why everybody else seems to like it, I have no idea. If you ever want to see me run for the exit -- sing Bennie on Karaoke night. I'd rather listen to cats fighting.

I don't mind hearing the song "take me to church" as music, but as for the lyrics, they are weird enough to bother me. Same thing with Bennie - lyrics worse than the music

Funny thing with 'take me to C' is when it first entered my consciousness I thought, wow, is that guy advocating church-going? I suspected not pretty quickly, before checking out the lyrics
