I have been looking for something I can do which includes my family and isn't casino related and have found it. I will be growing vegetables and herbs hydroponically with artificial sunlight. Stay tuned. If anyone wants to bet against me, I will take all bets.

Are you doing this for personal use or for income? What vegetables are you starting with?

Elevate your game (as well as your profits) and grow quality cannabis, especially if dispensaries are not in your area.

I would not bet against selling vegetables that you grow, but there was a hydroponic based shop near me that went out of business in about 6 months. So, I might bet against that idea. I don't know if Disney World still has a big hydroponic growing exhibit I saw years ago at Epcot. That's the first place I remember seeing that sort of thing.

It can be a good business, and I would never bet against somebody supplying their community with fresh vegetables. Where are you going to sell? Directly or to local grocery stores?

"with artificial sunlight."

Are you proposing to only use artificial sunlight? Does that include a plan to generate your own electricity from solar?

Herbs are a very low turnover commodity in most people's homes. Where will your produce sell in any sort of quantity? I think scale will be an issue. How many ounces of such produce did your family buy last month? How much did you pay?

Input costs: Electricity, Fertilizer, Rent. Can you get them all super cheap?

Good luck. You're going to need it.

Be careful with these fake news sources like C_BS:

It's possible you can pollinate the plants yourself.

Such as fans, manually, luck, etc.

I'd think it'd be important.

I'd recommend understanding PAR light and the sun's energy potentially received in one square kilometer.

Most of the numbers are based upon the sun.

This article reminds me of the communists killing many of the USA chicken layers recently.

So know whom you're going up against.

I would be doing this for income. I'm limited by this property size, limited by sunlight as my house is Northern Exposure with large trees on the Southern Exposure. I'm starting small to gain experience just growing to begin with, so the mistakes can be small before the project gets big and the mistakes are amplified on a large scale. I will plant some things in the front yard, but I'm pretty limited. Having some fresh veggies to eat was my initial benefit I sought, but what inspired me was a recipe for beef stew called for fresh thyme. When I bought it, I really valued the taste and I really liked having some plants inside the house. I really was a little discouraged last night when I researched the amount of time such an operation would take, but this work can be shared. When I thought about how awesome the air would be from all these plants, I became reinvigorated.

This is true. As a business, the positive side is the food business has some recessionary protection. There isn't much I could do to really survive in any possible depression besides this. Automotive, financial, health care, child care, etc, are not really options for me.
