Elevate your game (as well as your profits) and grow quality cannabis, especially if dispensaries are not in your area.

Ka-ching.
I could do this, but it would be an illegal operation. I would be against this (watch me become some big ass narco) because I don't want to feel this way, AP has enough shame and secrecy. Plus I feel cannabis is very competitive and inexperience here would be obvious if the crops turn out shitty. I am leaving it as a possibility for some personal use.

It can be a good business, and I would never bet against somebody supplying their community with fresh vegetables. Where are you going to sell? Directly or to local grocery stores?
I'm interested in selling to restaurants and interested in farmer's markets and flea markets. Mail order and local delivery in town are also options if I can get a premium. I'm learning so much so far, my inexperience is my advantage, and I'm not afraid of shaking up the way things have been done by my competition. At the point I'll be read to expand, I may have help as my uncle doesn't live in his home anymore, he has a few acres with a water source. I could rent/buy his house potentially and if I could get a deal with the nursing home next door, it would offer some opportunity for some revenue with low distribution costs. I'm totally against all this waste, and I'm against food having to be shipped so far, as it is dead produce. Regardless, I'm open to anything and I'll cross those bridges as reality sets in on feasibility.

Are you proposing to only use artificial sunlight? Does that include a plan to generate your own electricity from solar?

Herbs are a very low turnover commodity in most people's homes. Where will your produce sell in any sort of quantity? I think scale will be an issue. How many ounces of such produce did your family buy last month? How much did you pay?

Input costs: Electricity, Fertilizer, Rent. Can you get them all super cheap?

Good luck. You're going to need it.

Cheers OD.

I was really discouraged yesterday thinking this was a job nobody wanted and a shitty paying job. I thought I was stupid or crazy or lazy, whatever. It sounds nice getting $20-$40 per square foot annually for 1800 square feet which is a nice multiple of the housing payment. It's a lot of time and effort to make that money though, but I can be in control and not be limited by casino trespassing ruining everything.

I have been noticing prices and quality in produce and living herbs I have been purchasing for research. I see what I like and what I don't like, and in this is the opportunity. Rent is the only thing I can get cheap, energy will a cost, fertilizer will be a cost. I will not just give up and I will not listen to negativity people telling me I will fail. I can't argue I won't need luck; it is the most important thing everyone needs. If it was easy everyone would do it. Success for me will just be growing on 1000 square feet in my basement and having something positive to talk about. I'll look before I leap and will gain experience and research the competition before I ramp up scale.

There is so much work to do, and so much research, and so many problems to solve. Lots of people and companies fail at this, it's certainly a possibility as nothing is guaranteed. Even the second I think I have success, I'll have to look over my shoulder, because that will be when the dirtiness appears. The competition doesn't thrive by quality and hard work, they thrive by attacking their enemies and limiting competition. I wish them luck because I'm coming after them and they don't even know they're dead yet.

I will not be continuously updating on this; I will do my best to report back in 3-6 months for a progress report. I have a lot of work to do and talking about it too much usually ruins things before they ripen and come to fruition.

I think rich, I talk rich, I act rich, and I avoid anybody I can who begs to differ. I have a lot of people already trying to bring me down or sabotage me, or whatever they do, all I need is my health and for my family to also be healthy and a bonus if my future customers are healthy and happy.

Research! I would start brainstorming a list of question for Internet research? And keep adding to them.

This is true. As a business, the positive side is the food business has some recessionary protection. There isn't much I could do to really survive in any possible depression besides this. Automotive, financial, health care, child care, etc, are not really options for me.

Chef Mikey has a good You-tube channel.

https://www.youtube.com/@chefsharvestfarm

I'd recommend it.

He used to be an upper-level chef (Dolly Parton?) and then became a market gardener.

I think he runs out of Tennessee but from New York.

He began very small, then filled his backyard up, then leased another property field.

He gives produce to the owner of the field.

I'd guess he makes about $80-100K per year but he's a hard worker.
