Oh sure, I can understand the need to sign lots of stuff but why an autopen?

I assume the controversy is that it is tough to distinguish a real signature from one done with an autopen.

Easy enough to end the confusion: have the so called autopen signature NOT look authentic, e.g. have it not in cursive but in large caps from the keyboard.

Only use the real signature for bills and equally important stuff.

Because too many things need signed. I remember a "scandal" in banking where the officers in a company were not reading and signing all the mortgage modifications. I worked in such a place, we had 50-100 people reviewing this stuff per one insider, who just signed or stamped. If they signed stuff all day all they would do was sign their name. Reality is you had systems to check that all the work was right and the insider supervised everyone.

In the WH you can be assured that all kinds of invitations and thank-yous go out "signed" but with an auto-pen. The people who get this kind of thing tend to treasure them, so lots are needed. A POTUS cannot sign them all.

That is why there is an auto-pen. But in the case of your boy Biden it got abused.

Thomas Jefferson used the auto pen so it's hardly a New Concept.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

I quite often agree with you on the general policy decisions Trump takes. And how much better they are for the country than almost all standard Democrat policies. But how anyone can defend the personal traits of Trump is beyond my comprehension. I can easily understand why you would vote for him. But I can just as easily understand why MrV could never.

I reread your post. VALUES?

He calls opponents childish names.
He uses skanks while his wife is pregnant.
He is abusing his office for personal gain.
He lies so easily it’s just natural to him.

Tell me you are happy we have someone addressing the border. Supporting Israel. Standing up for the USA internationally. Cutting the federal payroll. Calling out the loony left like the Squad and Mamdani. Appointing Justices that have read the Constitution.

Just don’t tell me he’s a good human being.
I have a one question for you.

You said that President Trump "is abusing his office for personal gain".

Please provide be with actual examples. Is he is abusing his office for personal gain like he did in his first "term" when his net worth dropped by almost $1 billion?

Can you point us to any public statement by you objecting to Donny pleading the 5th 450 times, and where you called it a stain on Trump or his Presidency?

I’ve publicly stated numerous times here that I am embarrassed a man like Trump is President. Is that enough for you?

The exponential increase in Trump branded NFTs, attempts at Trump crypto, Trump boots, etc…. He is most definitely using the power of his pulpit for personal gain.

(1) Can you point to any of your public statements made contemporaneous to Donny's deposition, where you called it a stain on his Presidency? Did you hold his invoking the 5th back then to the same standard as you do of former Biden aides today?

(2) If you were embarrassed enough that he is President today, why did you support his candidacy in 2024?

no, the autopen is different. Jefferson would have used something that wrote simultaneously to duplicate what he was writing at that very time

With the autopen what's to be signed is placed under a real pen. The machine then moves the pen according to a stored pattern. No human is moving the pen, and note that the fact that it is a real pen makes a difference, there are other ways to duplicate a signature

Show one post of mine where I supported his candidacy? I have repeatedly mentioned I voted for myself. If you consider my valid criticism of almost everything the Democrats party stands for as supporting Trump, feel free. I don’t.
Trump’s Presidency is covered in many stains. Just the mess is not as bad as what a Harris Presidency would have looked like IF the House and Senate went Dem as well.

As I’ve also mentioned many times, things go better when it’s either 2-1 Republicans or 2-1 Democrat. 3-0 results in many overreaches like we are seeing now.
