My suggestion was more rhetorical than real: of course the country cannot be demolished, short of bio or nuclear weapons being deployed.

But how about destroying all their important religious shrines, industry, and infra structure?

You know, the old "bomb them back into the stone age?"

Would it yield a favorable result, or is Iran now a "tar baby?"
