But to go back to Iran for a moment, an oil tanker hit a mine. It was following an Iran directed route, the U.S. military told it to follow their route instead and they led the tanker into a mine.

There is some speculation that the U.S. military intentionally led the tanker into a mine to escalate location tension, but there is zero evidence of this. What we do know now is the Iran route was safe, but the U.S. route was not, intentions are unknown.

FWIW I like Buttigieg and would consider voting for him were I not always voting Libertarian as a protest.

He is smart, seems level-headed, articulate and moderately progressive.

But it's Ma and Pa Kettle he'd need to persuade: could happen I suppose and if it becomes a race between him and a MAGA douche I'd hope he got the nod.

As for Obama, our first "black" president, he had a white mother, so he's not black, he's a mulatto who dressed and talked like an educated white man, except when he wanted to let his hair down.

Voting Libertarian means I have satisfied my "duty" as a citizen to actively partake in our democracy.

Having voted I feel entitled to flame the current leader and to voice my opinion.

To be fair, libertarians within the GOP, especially in the Trump years, have done a lot to keep the GOP in check internally. Granted, I don't know if this counts as libertarian as they are technically Republicans...

I think America has fatigue from the war, ano bombing, then bombing, then a couple days without bombing, then back to bombing...

Just make up your mind, invade and get it over with or make a final deal. This never ending, bombing, then a half for peace talks, then they fall through, then back to bombing is wearing down everyone....


Whatever deal we get is going to be worse than before, take the L and move on, and spin it as a major win like you always do .....

Iran has no incentive to make a deal.

They are radical, religious extremists who correctly realize that doing nothing will force the US to slink away in shame, thus elevating their stature in the world.

Rationally, they do have SOME incentive: Their economy, which should be in great shape, is really in the toilet.
But then 'rationally' doesn't quite apply to the theocratic regime. I suspect that their current negotiating team are looking for massive backhanders and will deal for one. But the Islamic Revolutionary Guard feel at their most valued right now and will block any surrender by their negotiators.

The dissent within the Iranian side is a big obstacle to peace.

The only way OUT for trump is a big payment and dropping of sanctions. The longer it drags on, the bigger payment it will need.

trump's despair is almost as obvious as his medical decline.

Oh yes. That's another exit strategy: Die and leave the mess to someone else.
