Just once ... he needs to admit his minions fucked up. But no...lie and make up implausible excuses blaming your political enemies...it's the MAGA way. |

Frustrating. Isn't it. his lies don't even need to be a tiny bit plausible to suffice. His cult don't care and he doesn't care, because he no longer needs popularity. Attention andinfamy are fine. To the reflecting pool: It was a somewhat defective pool for a while and has had money thrown at it before. Fixing it properly would have demanded so SO much skill and care and time and money. Careful contractors would have said "drive on it and we will go to the media and tell them who fsked it up" Frankly, he could have left it alone or initiated expensive and slow repairs. That he had this hair brained botch job done put him on a hiding to nothing. A self destructive act of his own choosing. Tackling it was just an(other) insane act of vandalism. |

Do you ever get tired making a fool of yourself over Trump? https://www.foxnews.com/media/burgum-vows-full-prosecution-after-vandals-carved-350-foot-gash-lincoln-memorial-reflecting-pool War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

Please explain the mechanism whereby slitting the bottom of the pool caused a massive algae bloom to immediately return. Also please explain how in the absence of vandalism the earlier bloom came about. Now, who's the fool, MAGA-douche? I trust science; you put faith in a con man, a flim-flamming carnival barker and the clowns in his employ. |

Ah. Welcome back resident cultist. So you really do believe this nonsense! I credited you with more sense. "Burgum discussed the damage and the Trump administration's response to it during a "Fox & Friends Weekend" appearance,..... He offered not one shred of evidence. Nothing. Nada. Nil. Those arrested will see the cases laughed out of court, if they ever get that far. |

You think they did not dump in something to cause the bloom at the same time? I know you failed out of Brooklyn Academy of Law but really, do you not think professionals took every precaution when they redid the pool? Or do you think Trump actually went to the pool store with them and told them what chemicals to buy? War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

Nobody needed to sabotage the pool. It was a difficult job, rushed against the advice of experts, who refused the contract.
Professionals refused to 'redo the pool' because the difficulty of doing it properly by the required target date was not at all practical. So, rank amateurs got the job. Only rank amateurs would allow a motorcade to drive on whatever coating was applied and only a buffoon would want the motorcade. So, trump might as well have gone down to Home Depot with them. The algae bloom.... That was always going to happen after someone decided to remove the oxygenators. A few tourists have tried to take souvenirs of the disaster by picking at the scabs. Big mistake, but there was no vandal cutting a 350ft gash. Never happened. Only an idiot would believe that. Pity it will take a while to come to court, because orange oaf will dominate the narrative. |

Yes, and true to form one of the forum's resident idiots opted to jump down that rabbit hole. I am looking forward however to seeing whether the newly employed fix, nanobubbles, actually works: it's an intriguing concept. per AI: "Nanobubbles (ultrafine bubbles) are gas-filled micro-pumps a fraction of a micron in size, heavily deployed in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to combat recurring algae blooms. The ozone and oxygen-infused nanobubbles cut off algae's nutrient and food supply while oxidizing organic contaminants without relying on harsh chemicals." |

Indeed. He's incapable of seeing or acknowledging the possibility that his Fuhrer made a mistake. I'm prepared to admit that it is conceivable that some anti-trump mischief maker could be inclined to sabotage the project. But on the balance of probabilities, it's just typical trump baloney. Where's the video of the vandal(s)? Where's the photo of his ( their) razors and box cutters? How can any sharp tool peel large sheets of properly adhered sealant? How could a motorcade NOT have caused some damage? How could the alleged sealant have ever stood a cat in hells chance of staying put given the granite and concrete nature of the pool, with it's rubber expansion seals?? Me too. More about that, here ... https://edition.cnn.com/2026/06/28/politics/reflecting-pool-nanobubbler?Profile=CNN%2CCNN+Politics The nascent technology was installed by another no-bid contractor. It stands a chance of some success, but is reliant on a pre-existing network of pipes, many of which are known to be defective. |
