Previous DNA work of some kind showed Jefferson family connection but doubters were able to say it did not nail it down to the famous man, that a brother or half-brother or somesuch [not going to look it up] could easily have been doing the fathering. Looks like that theory is dead, but we'll have to see what they say now .

the descendants are actually proud of the connection from what I've seen. I'm glad their claims are getting validated.

I see none of this matters, what is important is that it is all about Trump

The best they could up to now was prove the father of Sally Heming's children was a member of Jefferson's male line. That left just enough doubt for the die hards to deny TJ had anything to do with Hemings.

What's new is extensive analysis of a lock of TJ's hair, kept at Monticello, provided even more objective evidence that TJ fathered Hemings' children and is the patrilineal ancestor of all known of Heming's descendants they have tested.
