I've already tried wikipedia and some online dictionaries as well as the Urban Dictionary, which usually is a joke. Its from Pennsylvania Dutch cooking (German) and involves Snippled Beans, Snippled Bean Soup, etc. |

Snippled or snibbled simply means 'cut'. Snippled beans means cut beans, instead of whole beans. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

It takes a heavy metal slicing machine, it takes kosher salt and brown sugar and six days of fermentation. In other words, its way too complex for someone with my skills and my lack of patience. |

| Nareed Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 346 Posts: 12545 | I did make homemade peanut butter. It's ludicrously easy. You just put some peanuts in the food processor (mine is small and not really an FP, but it works), and have at them. they don't liquefy, quite, but rather turn into a fine, fine powder with some liquid. So you add some oil or butter and process some more. And you're done. The one odd thing is the mixture is warm. I did only a small batch as a test. Next time I want to make a little bit more, and I'll try to add some flavoring as well. Consider the possibilities: garlic PB, pepper PB, cinnamon PB, hummus PB, just to name a few. I also made the quick chipotle sauce. Regular sauce means coring, seeding, peeling and cooking tomatoes. Quick sauce uses packaged tomato puree. I do this when I'm short on time or tired from the work week. Just the same, between the PB experiment, the stuffing of the chicken milanesas, the making of rice to go with the dish, and making pecan jello, I spent a lot of time in the kitchen. | pew Member since: Jan 8, 2013 Threads: 4 Posts: 1232 | I know what a pecan is and I know what jello is but never seen them used in the same sentence. Is that pecan flavored jello or pecans in jello? Doesn't sound very appetizing having chunks of nuts in jello. |
