Good news -- I hear the Tacos el Gordo on the Strip (between the Encore and Wynn) has reopened.

Telenovela, the new sitcom on NBC is doing most of the show in English, except the actual telenovela which is done in Spanish with English subtitles. But you can watch the whole thing in spanish.

Of course one of the running jokes is that Eva Longoria doesn't speak Spanish, and her dialogue on the telenovela seems to consist of simple Spanish words.

I heard that Eric Estrada was on a Telenovela once but he barely speaks Spanish. I heard that they gave him easy dialogue and he just memorized it.

This TV show is a little more corny. In her first scene she has only one word, "Yo!", and then they blow her hair with a fan until she faints. Afterwards when she is talking to her colleagues she can't follow three or four word sentences in Spanish.
Ritchie Valens supposedly couldn't speak Spanish, but he could sing "La Bamba".

The show last half it's audience from episode #1 to episode #3 so it may not last.
EDIT: Actually it is terribly stupid. I doubt that it will go 13 episodes. But you can hear it in English first and then Spanish.

Q: Why do they call it "Chilpancingo"?

A: Because "Golf" was already taken.

Ah -- I was wondering what you were talking about at first. For the benefit of others: "El Chapo" re-arrested in Mexico.

Enrique Peña Nieto is the telegenic 49 year old president of Mexico, with his second wife, Angélica Rivera (a telenovela star). So a tweet from him saying someone had been retained, would probably refer to a drug lord.

Sean Penn? Regardless, he should invest in armored cars and bodyguards.

BTW, I was certain el Chapo would be killed rather than captured. Now the question is whether he'll escape before he's extradited to the US (harder to escape from there). He has a few years to do so.
