DEI "classes" are nothing of the sort. They are a total waste of time and hey hey if you have Mr. Brown teach the class then you have helped your DEI goals even if he is providing no real value.

I remember back in the '80s my cab company had a contract with GM to pick up employees who are minorly injured and take them to the emergency room. It was faster and cheaper than calling an ambulance. This was when affirmative action was in full swing and these guys would complain the whole way to the hospital about how much they hated their jobs now because of affirmative action. They were bringing in these people of color and putting them in management positions because the government said they had to and they were totally screwing everything up and you couldn't get rid of them. So what GM did is they hired shadow management employees to hover over the Dei hires and it cost a huge amount of money but things ran better. I'm sure this was going on in other large corporations as well not just GM. They also complained that if you were white you couldn't get a job at GM anymore. If you tried to get your cousin in there or your son or a friend, they would tell you to your face that they can't hire him because he's white.

Climate change may be real. My wife is out of town for a few weeks and where she is at it is currently -26 degrees Fahrenheit. The high today will be -9. Tomorrow it will warm up to -3.

I DONT believe there should be any ‘fact checking’ by moderators DURING an actual debate. The moderators are certainly free to express their OPINIONS on the veracity of a participants claims AFTER the debate has concluded. The combatants can ‘fact check’ each other during their rebuttal time.

To me, DEI is a racist policy. That’s a fact. I’ll bet there are some here who disagree. So how can someone ‘fact check’ such?

Being against DEI as a FACTOR IN DETERMINING WHO YOU HIRE is NOT being against diversity. Diversity is fine if it happens organically.

Take med school admissions. There of course is never a perfect way to evaluate a candidate, but it went something like this….

Add up GPA, some multiple for how difficult a college was, and then add MCAT scores. During affirmative action you would get points added solely for being from an ‘underrepresented group’.

I really don’t know how ANYONE can think that is good policy.

No one ever addresses my ‘NBA’ analogy.

Should the NBA REQUIRE each team to have 70% white players to mimic the general population?

I believe at one time , the NBA had quite a few white token players. There was a time in the NBA that the last spot almost always went to a white player.
Larry Bird felt disrespected when the opposing team had a white player guarding him 😉

The global white population is less than 10%, while some report less than 15%.

Whites have always been a minority.


Be careful what info you read because you might believe you're the opposite sex one day.
