The whole GW thing is about money.

And based on that, you're naïve enough to believe it only comes from one side? Only one side stand to make money. Jokes on you.

Yeah, it only takes 1 degree above freezing to melt ice. Does that make conservative rubes slack-jawed? If global variation doesn't allow long enough or cold enough times to refreeze all you get is more CO2 and more warming.

Furthermore, take all the cars off the road and you can also shut a lot of the refining which also cuts CO2. And it never was just about cars. It's an effort from many angles.

I heard Rand Paul, not normally a total idiot saying humans survived through extreme climate change. Sure and populations survived through droughts famine and flood. Is that what he is endorsing? Even in the US we have deforested about 25 percent of the country from when Lewis & Clark made their famous trek. The rest of the world is the same or worse in most cases. What happens next time around, and there are a lot more people to be affected.

Doubters point to a anomaly in a particular data set, as if one incongruity dismisses all the other lines of evidence. Doesn't work that way, exceptions don't disprove overwhelming evidence. It's not that kind of logic argument. The convergence of data points reaches the same conclusion.

And yup with thousands of people involved, there is bound to be some bonehead statements.

No joke on me at all, joke is on the believers. XOM makes money by providing products people want. GW believers make money by taking it from people at the point of a gun. Musk comes off as the sore loser of the week. Upset because his scheme of selling EV credits may not be as lucrative as it once was.

Lets try this again. Remove every human from earth this instant and CO2 only goes down 5%. And global temperatures fluctuated far more wildly before humans even walked the earth. An intellectually curious person looks a that and questions the hell out of the GW theory. Sheep say, "THE SCIENCE IS SETTLED!"

What he is endorsing is that a small change in climate is not going to end humanity. Climate changed over the years because of natural causes and will again. It cannot be stopped or modified. My question remains, how many times must these predictions be proven wrong before more of the population wakes up?

Never, it takes intellectual effort to wake
up. It's much easier to be a believer, it
takes no work at all.

Do you mind telling me exactly what this claim means? Are you saying that if we grounded all cars that the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere would be reduced by 1%? IOW it would go from 400ppm to 396ppm? If so how long would take to achieve that reduction?

I don't know the math on the ppm. But cars are 1% of all CO2 emitted. Mankind in all is 5%. So if this year all CO2 was 100 units and on NYE every car vanished then 2018 there would be 99 units all other things being equal.

95% of CO2 is from nature. This is my issue. If every human vanished it is a 5% reduction. Few people notice this.

So government trying to cheat you out of money and corporations looking out for your best interest and would never stoop to trying to delude the public.

Corporations that sometimes don't even look out for their own employees. Guess who steps in to fix that: government Oil companies would likely still be poisoning your brain with leaded gas if the government hadn't stepped in. Probably would have flooded the coastlines with oil spills. Wouldn't have capped their pollution standards and all our cancer rates and various lung diseases would be up.

You are really naïve.

And the vast majority of that comes from
the oceans. They release 16 times more
CO2 than humans do. They should obviously
be drained, evil oceans..
