Following that line of reasoning you are also not an expert in the field of politics. Trump was expert enough to get elected to the most important political office in the world. Please defer to him as per your common sense.

I like politicians who are expert enough to win the popular vote as well as the EC.

The EC is what it takes to win, smart politicians understand this.

I'd argue we're talking two separate things. Getting elected, does not make one an expert in the job.

I mean, if you get hired to empty trash bins, you can become an expert pretty quick. But most occupations have a steeper expertise curve.

Becoming a scientist does give you the potential to be an expert in the field but letting that expertise be clouded by zealotry takes away the necessary skepticism to be a reliable expert in the field.

The non-binding accord was not a scientific pact; it is an economic globalism pact that we should have never been in. A treaty requiring equitable action by all parties (not necessary equal in terms of every cent spent, but equitable to all parties) would be a much better arrangement. it would also be one that could be voted on by the Senate, giving it credibility as officially being agreed to by the United States.

Now if these scientists want to help the world, they should develop the means to help us control the actual scientifically-proven problems.

Letting the Al Gores and their ilk be the face of defining the "issue" while making a Size 1000 carbon "footprint" and a huge personal profit does not really do much for the cause in the eyes of every day folks. Someone should get rich if they really solve some issues but creating a "market" for "carbon offsets" and the likes is simply voodoo economics...selling something that was never "owned" to start with to enrich Al Gore and others is simply robbery. Inventing things that help solve the problem, making reasonable policies that don't enrich politicians and cronies, etc.--that is where the money should be made. By people who actually FIX things...

Glad to see you actually admit it is what you 'like' that you support. We all do that on some level. The hard part is being independent enough to look below the surface and support stuff you really don't like.

My post was a play on Donald saying he "likes" war heros who weren't captured, RE: John McCain.

Don't look to deep into it.

Yet, yet, if the wine soaked bridge troll
had won just the EC, you would still be
ecstatic about it and laughing and
laughing. Like I am about Trump winning.

I'm laughing too, honey.

Even I could have never predicted how incompetent Donald has turned out to be.

I'm thankful everyday he's President and not John Kasich, Ted Cruz, etc. They actually would have accomplished something by now!

It was a dumb move by Donald. Hugely unpopular decision he made today (despite what the fervent righties in this thread want to believe).

I like when Donald does dumb stuff. His poll numbers go down (although, how much lower can they go???) and Donald gets upset and does stupid things.

Well, I was right!

Donald's poll numbers have fallen and are nearly at their lowest point of his Presidency, thanks to his Paris accord stunt.

36% approval according to Gallup.

And we've still got the Comey testimony coming up this week... (assuming Donald doesn't try to stonewall it - but could he really be that stupid to try to stop that? Who knows? It's Donald!)

And the polls said Hillary was a slam
dunk to win, you never learn, do you.
LOL That's why the Dems are losing
every single run off election while
throwing millions at each one. Because
Trump is just soooo unpopular.

I'll send you a pencil and you can try
and connect the dots..
