You can't
impeach a non sitting president.

I LOVE Evenbob’s completely incorrect political analysis. Always good for a laugh.

Mart Gaetz on line 1 for ya, EB.

Thats great
Kudos
I also use multiple sources
but
People have the freedom and right to use one source and there is nothing anybody can do about it and should not do anything about it
Its freedom.
this is getting pretty circular so you can have the last word if you want

He also seems to have forgotten, somehow, that the house of representatives handles impeachment, not the senate, and it looks like the house is still in session.

If they go through with it, on Monday they can start impeachment proceedings, and impeach trump before the end of his term. The senate has nothing to do with that part.

Oh, and for trump to lose all of those benefits, he has to be impeached AND convicted in the senate, not just impeached by itself.

Also also, the penalty of not being able to run for future office has to be voted on. It isn't an automatic penalty from being convicted in the senate, rather it is just one of the options that may or may not be applied.

Are you sure about that? I thought the senate had to vote to convict of impeachment after the house.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent.

So what, it's as meaningless
as the first impeachment.
Trump won't run again anyway,
he'll be 79 in 2025. Older
than Senile Joe is now. The
biggest danger they fear
from Trump is him starting
his own media platform, which
he's looking into. And his
awesome ability to fire up the
base with rallies for GOP
candidates. Trump will keep
himself in the news more
than Biden for the next two
years. The payback bully in
Trump won't let him leave this
alone, that Bide stole a landslide
election from him.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Yes.
Bill Clinton was impeached. The senate did not convict him.
Donald Trump was impeached. The senate did not convict him.

Bob, I was pointing your error. Trump can be impeached, without the senate, before he leaves office.

How much it matters to you, me, or anyone else, isn't the point.

As for him forming his own media company, who cares?

Parler can continue, too. All it needs to do is either improve moderation of the content, or distribute the app outside of the Google store. I'm sure they'd be thrilled to have trump participating.
