Have you watched much of the trial?

I've heard a couple of former judges say this kid's testimony should be shown in law schools. He was the perfect witness on the stand. He didn't say too much he didn't say to little, he was very believable. He never let himself be led by the prosecution. His lawyer had to teach him how to do this, this kind of behavior doesn't come naturally in court. He did get emotional at one point and even that was in his favor.

Not only has Capt Kirk outlived many cast mates on Star Trek. He's now out living people on the recent space flight.

I suspect small planes are more dangerous statistically than space flights.

Small single piston engine planes are statistically about as dangerous as a motorcycle.

I think space travel is a bit more dangerous than that.

Perhaps, except for his fake tears.

He's a kid who's been under enough stress to last ten lifetimes. I give him the benefit of the doubt. When I was 18 I would have been a basket case going through what he's going through. So would most 18 year olds. Hell, so would most people of any age.

Keep in mind that, out of the gate, he's had basically unlimited monetary and presumably emotional support / reinforcement.

The kid didn't cough up his 2M bail money, nor did his family: Trumpies paid it, just as they've groomed and polished him for his moment in the sun.

I am positive his testimony was scripted, practiced, polished and perfected.

His "breakdown" looked fake to me.

Perhaps the DA screwed up his cross examination because he never dreamed the kid would take the stand: oops.

Funny thing is, if acquitted I suspect that he'll run for public office, supported once again by arch-conservatives.

FWIW I have mixed feelings about what he did: he missed one.

It comes as a surprise to you that an attorney works with his client on what he will say on the stand?
