Remember when the word Cadillac meant top of the line. Like this is the Cadillac of sail boats. Then the leaders at Cadillac came out with the Cadillac Cimarron. |

reminds me I was watching a review of a new Cadillac on MT not too long ago. As a matter of fact... "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

getting back to this.... Manslaughter is called 3rd Degree Murder in law. Not sure if it depends on the jurisdiction what they call it, but it has caused me to think of homicide like this: *1st Degree: a planned killing *2nd Degree: an death where rage played a large role, mostly, at least, unplanned *3rd Degree: accidental but with negligence in Face's hypothetical, it might go 3rd degree but 2nd degree would have to be considered [should he have expected the whack to possibly be lethal or was it reasonable to think it wouldn't be?] as for the Church members, 4 of them are charged with 2nd degree murder, it's the parents charged with manslaughter. my elders when I was growing up talked about some relative [indeed a preacher] who was notorious for whipping his son IIRC. They disapproved, saying he would say he was beating the Devil out of him, apparently meaning it literally. I wonder if this Church was practicing that, believing in demons and such. I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

I suppose you could get into all kinds of justifications.

I remember well. I am amazed how strong a brand "Cadillac" was at one time that we still use it to mean best of the best. No normal person say "Lexus of X." We know half a dozen cars are better, but none has that feel. I still remember at age 5 when relatives had one it was something special. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

I bought a Cadillac Allante in the early 1990's. They were trying to compete with the Mercedes SL convertible. The Allante was innovative, technological, and a piece of crap. Worst car mechanically that I ever owned. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

I liked the Allante but the problem was Cadillac was trying to sell it as something it was not. Had they positioned it as a modern T-Bird but nicer they might have gotten somewhere. But it was priced 10 grand too high and they made believe it was in the same class as Mercedes. Nobody bought that it was. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

6 feet? Wonder if that's right. Can't imagine a forecast of 6 feet of rain. I'd be running for the hills. (mountains) http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/super-typhoon-koppu-makes-landfall-philippines-n446541 "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

It's 6". 6' is Noah's Ark. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
