Did I say that we were there yet? No. Did I say he has a bias? Yes. Did I insinuate he was at least a little off on Texas being against renewables? Yes. Renewables providing 25% of our state’s energy so long as the renewables do not pollute more than fossil fuels is a good thing. I think wind may have an issue in that area. I also said there are lots of projects around the state for additional renewables. That shows that the state is not against renewables. We still need oil. We still need coal brought in. To meet the demand with less use of those and with more use of electricity as a power source for vehicles, we need safe nuclear that works all the time as opposed to wind and solar that can be offline when needed most. |

Your comment just hilights how little you actually understand about how the power grid actually works. By providing incentives to wind power and forcing the thermal plants to act when needed back-up wind you have little maintenance and no new thermal plants.
