When was the last time the Democrats introduced a bill making that a law? How would it work for family?

I am all for some kind of law but the devil would be in the details.

The House can pass a bill acceptable to Democrats in that chamber any day they want.

Put pressure on Republicans to allow it to pass the Senate.

If they do not do anything, they are sending a signal (on purpose or inadvertently) that they want to trade stocks and other securities.

Are the votes there?

I’m all for an acceptable law barring them from trading and barring others in government from profiting in companies they regulate or are involved with by approving medicines and things like that.

Pass the bill in the house. The Dems have a large majority there and there is some bipartisan support.

Take it to the Senate. If the Republicans don’t help get it to pass, use it in the election.

I have no problem with beating up (in ads and speeches) people who don’t support this kind of legislation. They can present a case for why they don’t support it and their constituents can judge them.

Congress takes way too much time off and does way too little. I like good bipartisan legislation. It is usually moderate and doesn’t satisfy the far left or right. Congress should work more and campaign less. It isn’t supposed to be a career…do nothing, lose an election, and go back to your real job.
