Corporations are not people. That is a fact.

Corporations are owned by people. That is a fact.

I think if AZ and all the others will just agree with those two facts we won’t have to read the same shix over and over…..

Decades ago had friend who owned condo on Key Biscayne. One of those hurricanes caused lots of damage. Not as bad as Ian, but if YOUR house is flooded, you want it fixed. He basically won a bidding war to get his house fixed very quickly. Something like ‘that’s what money is for’.

I hear during times like this politicians decrying ‘price gouging’. Even criminalizing it. As long as there is no deceit, and prices are clear, I believe the free market should determine the price. If it’s usually $1k to fix the water damage in a certain locale, why can’t a company charge $2k today?

That’s funny. I thought the opposite. I think he has looked pretty good so far. Seems like a well spoken leader. Plus I think the fact that he has worked with the Biden administration will help him in a general nationwide election with the 1-2% of voters who don’t automatically vote for a specific party nominee.

I don't usually think of price gouging for service items, just tangible goods. I have very mixed feelings about it, I am not necessarily opposed to price gouging.

The problem is the people who cannot read and take anything other than literally cannot handle it. The ruling said corporations are people because they are owned and run by people. That people join and leave them all the time. That they exist for limited liability, simplicity of joining with other people, and so that their lets call it "mission" can outlast the people involved in them.

Somehow in the USA we have this idea that a corporation is something magical that exists outside of any human control. They think they are supernatural beings of some sort.

Now, in thanks for your comment, a tip. The "Guessing Lines" show said the real power number for the Bills next week is about -17 so if you want to lay those points do so. If you win have a Beef on Weck at Charlie the Butcher for me.
