The Supreme Court refused to hear it could because there's nothing to hear, it's already settled law only Congress can approve stuff like this. Nancy Pelosi said as much. The president has no such authority they were only trying to buy votes before the election and after the election you will never hear about this again. The banks are the ones that are really screaming because they would lose the interest on 400 billion dollars in loans they are not in business to lose money. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

But topical conversations are not math. In math once false is always false. IRL, one exception does not disprove the rule. Lets use an old example here. "Heterosexual white males do not like to dance." Now, some people will try to say this is not true because they know some white guys who like to go on the dance floor. But anyone who has been around said group at a wedding or other situation where there is dancing has seen that it is true, and that a good part of the ones who are on the dance floor were dragged there by the women they were with. An example of why knowing how to understand the differences. In "Car Guys and Bean Counters" Bob Lutz, who should have been made CEO of Chrysler and if he was it might still be independent, talked about how GM was filled with types that could not understand when to not take things literal. Saturn owners said they "did not care about the looks of the car" but just wanted a reliable car. So these types designed a band car and were proud of that fact! Now, even people who say they do not care about a car's looks care somewhat about it. They just say they do not because it is not the top thing. As a result of taking things literal Saturn lost many sales. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

The banks have been out of the student loan business for 10 years or more. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

I would say that is factually wrong. Why wouldn't the person just say "Most heterosexual white males do not like to dance"? I assume that is what they were trying to imply. One is factually wrong, while the other may also be wrong but it may be more correct. I would probably just say "Some heterosexual white males don't like to dance". That is factual. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

Because the "most" is understood. It is understood that an intelligent person knows what you mean. "Hand me the car keys." Do you need to put "you" in front of that? No, because it is understood. When having a casual conversation you do not need to make everything "perfect" like if you are writing a dissertation. I would see the person who does not know you do not need to add "most" as someone who uses English as a second language. Such a person would not have grown up learning the subtleties of the English language. They would have problems with idioms the same way. Do dogs and cats really fall from the clouds? So they would just try to be "exact" as possible. This kind of person is hard to have a conversation with. Of course, if I ever learn Spanish and am hanging out in Costa Rica and speaking Spanish I would have the same problem with them. But if I am talking to a native English speaker they will know what I mean, unless they are totally dense. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

Whoever it is who gets the interest is filing lawsuits all over the country. I heard a story about it today on the news. Apparently there's a bunch of different agencies that will lose money if this were ever passed. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I have not looked at the detail of who is suing. I remember under Obama they took student loans over. It was seen as a handout to the banks. Few years ago it was Pocahantus or AOC or the like grilled the banks about student loans and the bank CEO had to tell them that the banks were taken out of the business. They were that stupid they did not even know how it all worked even while being on the Congressional committee about it. This is just vote buying by Biden. I agree that after the election it will not happen. Then we will see all the greedy and selfish borrowers who keep crying that they need their loans forgiven go nuts. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

That was House Financial Services Committee Chair Maxine Waters, who criticized the banks about their handling of student loans, only to be reminded the federal government had taken over the loans in 2010. Begins at 1:30. Credit to the bankers for keeping straight faces. Now, Biden is claiming his student loan bailout passed by one or two votes, even though it was never voted on. "I got it passed by a vote or two." |

Is it possible some of these attacks are targeting someone specific, because if you push someone on the tracks, there's little chance they would be able to follow or even know who did it?
