The ‘threat’ resulted in a Dem President. Dem Vice President. Dem control of the Senate. Half the states with Dem governors. I’m not worried about ‘the sky is falling’ fear mongering Dems.

If Fetterman resigns, doesn’t the governor appoint his replacement? (Democrat governor). He should resign.

He has more than ‘medical issues’. He’s unfit. Being hospitalized for severe depression. After a ‘surprise’ hospitalization for unknown reasons. After a stroke with what appears to be permanent lack of ability to understand speech.

The Democrat party is an existential threat. Inflation. Border insecurity. Debt exploding. You are aware over last two years ONE MILLION people have left California and New York to escape the Democrat run and dominated states? Mayor of NYC asking for billions of federal dollars to find new 4 star hotels for the illegals coming to the sanctuary city. Homelessness rampant.

Yeah, I’m worried about a stupid perception of a ‘threat to democracy’. Trump will lose, either in a primary or he gets destroyed in a national election. The insurrectionists from Jan 6 were a bunch of disorganized idiots. No ‘threat to Democracy’.

Question for the audience…. Is there ANY mechanism to have a Congressman or Senator ousted for ‘unfitness’? If not, there should be.

What a disgusting hateful post.
I support people that are honest about depression.
It really disgusts me that hateful people think people with depression are unfit and can't do a job.

You call the post hateful. I call it simply honest and factual. He just doesn’t have depression! He has brain damage from a stroke! He has something that caused him to be hospitalized for ‘lightheadedness’. He has depression, so severe, that even as a sitting Senator he couldn’t be treated as an outpatient!

He is severely damaged.

He needs help. He probably needs a restful, non stressful environment. Does that sound like the US Senate to you?

Not enough facts in to ask for anything at this point. Even if you had a governor in possibly a permanent coma from brain injury, you'd give him several weeks at a minimum even if it looked hopeless.

Before this latest hospitalization he was having problems communicating. A large part of being a Senator involves ‘hallway talks’ with your colleagues across the aisle, with aides, with the press, etc…. He is what ams wants him to be…. a vote however Chuck Shumer tells him to vote. And now he is so sick he can’t even be that.

I’m sure I made a post before the election that he was unfit. I of course have been proven right. He was a disaster trying to debate carpetbagger Oz. I think we’ve had enough time to evaluate him. He should not be a Senator.

Human beings are deeply flawed.

Even though I disagree with your political positions I know that you are an intelligent and reasonable person.

Many humans are neither intelligent nor reasonable.

Many who are intelligent are not reasonable.

We all see the world thru special glasses that reflect our own biases.

I have no doubt that many in this country who owned and sold slaves were very intelligent.

They of course knew that slavery was wrong, but they were able to justify it in their own minds.

Their minds allowed them to believe that anything that benefitted them could not be wrong.

Pennsylvania does not appear to have a process for recalling US Senators. While the reason of, "Unfitness," would be an unprecedented one to attempt an expulsion, in theory, Fetterman could be expelled by a vote of 2/3rds of Senators present, which wouldn't happen. While there have been a few resignations from Senate in what might have otherwise become expulsions, every successful expulsion (barring one, which was earlier) came about by way of supporting the Confederates and happened in either 1861 or 1862.

What makes you think that most knew it was wrong?

If you were able to move to a foreign country that allowed slavery and you saw slavery all around you wouldn't you feel that it was wrong?

If your answer is yes, then why would you feel that those in this country who kept and sold slaves were not capable of reasoning that it was wrong?

I don't know if the NY Times still has their archives from their earliest publications online, but when they did, I read this news report of a young "hooligan'' in court for some sort of trouble. The judge implied he was lazy as he wasn't working 16 hours a day.
