Special counsel appointed for a charge the liberals invented with no evidence. And people wonder why there is no faith in our government. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

I'd like to know how exactly they will spin that a Republican controlled House, a Republican controlled Senate, A Republican controlled White House, and Republican appointed Department of Justice Officials constitute a Liberal conspiracy to investigate Russian influence in the elections, collusion of the Golden Boy campaign with Russia, and a special counsel for the same. Face facts, snowflakes: Trump's vanity and ignorance of politics got him in such a deep hole, it will take the rest of his single term to extricate himself from it, if ti can be done at all. It's fascinating, in a morbid sort of way. All Trump had to do was nothing. and I mean absolutely nothing. Instead he's turned it into a circus. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

Comey and Mueller are both registered Republicans. George W. Bush picked Mueller to be FBI Director. In the 1990s, Comey was deputy special counsel to investigate Clinton's Whitewater scandal. In 2013, every Republican in the Senate voted to confirm Comey as FBI Director. And in 2001, every Republican in the Senate voted to confirm Mueller, too. Neither of these men are liberals. |

I didn't say they were. The powers directing them are, though. Comey remains not qualified to be a mall cop. Owned by the Clintons. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

| RonC Member since: Nov 7, 2012 Threads: 9 Posts: 2582 | President Obama knew all about the Russian hacking and did little or nothing about it. President Trump did not have access to the intelligence that President Obama had. I understand the point that President Obama may not have wanted to allow the election to be blown up is given as a reason he did not do more at the time. My question is this--why did President Obama not do more about AFTER the election was held when there was no more chance of manipulating votes (no that they had gained that kind of access, but they might not have known yet how far they got at the time of the election)? Looks to me like President Obama messed up. The response 'but Trump...." is as unacceptable as discussing Clinton in a Trump thread...a fair set of standards. We're talking here about the time between the election and January 20th when Trump was not President... |

He was too busy focusing on preserving the evidence of communication between Russia and people who worked for Donald. The Obama administration took decisive action to make sure Donald couldn't come in on Jan. 20th and make all that evidence disappear. As to why he didn't do anything BEFORE the election, that's obvious. It would have looked like he was putting his thumb on the scale and the Trump campaign and righties like RonC would have thrown a friggin fit. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

I think going after it between the election and the innaguration would be seen as an attempt to delegitimize the results of the election and the incoming administration. It would have fired up the anti trump opposition even more, could have led to violence and other unrest, generally a not peaceful transition of power. I think it was the right thing to do to not go public about it between the election and the innaguration. "Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts."
