I wouldn't call it "normal" based on the ones I have seen. Normal enough I guess. I more wonder if we would get a leveling effect if we just made a free for all. Junkies would just fade off to their own corner? War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

I'm not sure if any society has been happy with the result of drug use beyond some milder forms -- meth wouldn't be one, I'm pretty sure. They can barely tolerate the ones we allow. However, a model that works is the most convincing argument. Natives chewed cocoa leaves, but cocaine is a whole nother thing. OTOH, it's hard to control any of it no matter what you decide. Coca leaves. Cocoa is the plant where chocolate comes from. The alkaloid content of a few coca leaves is very small. To make cocaine from it, you need large amounts of leaves and chemical processing to refine it. Chewing a few leaves, or drinking a tea made with them, is akin to drinking coffee. Completely, like many other processed, natural things. Similar to maple syrup vs sap.
I am just tired of the war and all the effects. It seems we will have this subculture who gets hooked on even drier lint. Find a way to make it so there are no open air markets causing problems. Then let them all smoke and toke their brains out. Just no eligibility for welfare or other assistance. It would be interesting. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |
