Texas at least has a way to make capital. They have nearly a captcha on refineries and oil delivery ports. Not to mention the huge petroleum reserves, new fracking fields etc. Which state has the ability to make more money, Texas if they add on a dollar per barrel refined or delivered or Michigan if they add a hundred dollars per new car manufactured? Texas has big ag, big cattle/sheep, big oil etc. Texas could go their own way, but we won't let 'em. The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |
